Final numbers for John Collins: 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Another tremendous game from Ben Simmons tonight with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 steals. When combine size and athleticism with a "ball-on-a string" handle, that's when you have a potentially specials player. Simmons as all the above plus great court vision and a high basketball IQ. He don't need a better shot to be an elite player. Just ask Jason Kidd. But if Simmons even develops a good perimeter shot, then look out.

Good thing for the nuggets that's their deepest position. I see Juancho is back from Mono so that helps.

Another injury that highlights the value of durability in the NBA. That's an edge the Wolves have. Three of the Wolves top 4 players -- Wiggins, KAT and Teague -- have proved over their respective careers so far to be highly durable. Butler hasn't been particularly durable, but he is good for at least 65 games every season and played a full season last year.

How about Oladipo!! He finished tonight with 29 points, 9 rebounds 5 assists, 7 steals and 2 blocks. He's been fantastic all season so far. Recall that he was Flip's favorite player in the 2014 draft and Flip tried hard to trade up and get him. Question: Would the Pacers swap Oladipo for Wiggins? The obvious answer is - No! The no deal list of players their respective teams would not trade straight up for Wiggins continues to grow. That's really troubling. But how much of this is on our head coach for failing to develop Wiggins and put him along with other players in the best possible position to succeed? I honestly don't know the answer. But I'd love to swap Thibs for any number of NBA head coaches.

Blame Thibs for many things... but Wiggins' lack of development MUST be directed at the player.

Great players excel in any situation. Wiggins has not. That's on him... nobody else. It's actually ridiculous to pass blame elsewhere.

Actually, I agree with you Abe. Head coaches should be held accountable for getting the most out of their teams. The really good ones will make the team they coach better than the sum of its parts. But I agree with you that head coaches have far less to do with the development of individual players.

Has anyone else noticed the eye popping stats Bobby Porits has been putting up in the limited minutes in the 8 games he has played?

That's a shame about Beverly. It's going to be interesting to see how much longer that ship will stay afloat.
