So far in 19 minutes tonight, Bazz has 21 points on 9-11 shooting to go with 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. He is plus 22. This is his second very good performance in a row. With our bench so thin, especially at the wing position, I still don't get letting Bazz go. I don't get that with a roster spot open all season, the best Thibs/Layden could do in free agency was to sign Derrick Rose. We won tonight and that's great. It was a must win if the Wolves are serious about finishing in the top 6. But I'm worried about our thin bench down the stretch and in the playoffs.

Derrick Rose has already had 2 more games of better defense than Bazz had in his entire career with the Wolves. I honestly don't even think that's hyperbole which is shocking. Besides Bazz wanted out and found a spot. Unless they planned to play him letting him go absolutely made sense.

The potential good news is Curry may be out for the first round of the playoffs which makes the 7th seed look more appealing. The bad news is GS is starting a bunch of guys that aren't good tonight against the Jazz. The Bucks got a win against the Spurs and Bazz put up some solid numbers although he was-12. Blazers beat Portland.

This can be a great week for the Wolves in their effort to secure a playoff birth and improve their playoff position. The Wolves play Memphis tonight and the Hawks on Wednesday. Those are two games the Wolves absolutely should win. In fact, losing either of those games would be unforgivable. Meanwhile, the Nuggets play on the road tonight against the Sixers and again on the road tomorrow night against the Raptors. These next two games would almost break them. The Spurs play at the Wizards tomorrow night -- a game in which the Wizards should be favored. The Spurs next game is at home, but against a superior Thunder team. The Pelicans host the Blazers in their next game, which could be a home loss although that's not a game I'd bet either way.

But ultimately, the Wolves hold their playoff fate in their own hands. If the Wolves win the games they should against inferior teams with little to play for then the Wolves should end up no worse than a 7th seed. As games the Wolves should win, I'm referring to 3 of their remaining 5 home games against Memphis (twice) and Atlanta along with at least one of their two tougher home games against either Utah or Denver and at least their road game against the Mavs.

Nuggets got beat up by the Sixers and Fulton had a nice stat line.

Watching the end of Nuggets Raptors. Raptors basically going with 3 PGs with Van Vleet Wright and Lowry with Siakiam and Poetl to close it out. Nuggets lose

Wiz already beat the Spurs which is nice.

Ok time to watch the Blazers Pels. Let's go Blazers. Whew what a last few seconds of this one. Holiday had 2 big blocks late in this game and Soloman Hill had some nice plays. Nukic was a big factor around the basket on both ends and Dame had 20 in the 4th. Man it would be nice to have a dynamic guard that can just score from anywhere. Blazers win which is good for the Wolves. The Blazers can have that 3rd seed. The rest of them are still up for grabs.

And this is one of the main points I'll continue to reiterate this summer. Having that creator that can do anything with the ball is something we just don't have while the other contending teams do. If Kemba Walker's name resurfaces on the trade block, and even if it doesn't, the Wolves would be wise to pursue him aggressively.

Yep that was what I was getting at. Is there any guards that could drop to us that have any chance of...at least being a dynamic shooter that can handle the ball some? You mentioned somebody I forgot because so watched a ton of basketball the last few days.
