I got a chuckle out of that play when I saw the video.
I just saw it again Monster. He was smiling after!! WTF??
Ya gotta laugh, especially if you're Wes in that situation. Great players get punked like that on occasion, there is no shame there, especially when it's a guy like Harden who got you! If you cannot laugh at yourself life is going to be one long depressing ride!
You're saying Wes is a great player? Big stones on Harden. Would have looked stupid if he missed.
Here is the video with some Titanic music added. Lol

No, I was saying it happens to great players so it shouldn't be all that shocking that it happened to such an average player.
I'm not sure he won't have more lucrative offers, and he sounds loyal to the Nuggets, but the Wolves should definitely offer Will Barton the full MLE for three years this summer.
2018-19: $8.8M
2019-20: $9.3M
2020-21: $9.7M
He's exactly the kind of wing we need on this team backing up Jimmy Butler and Andrew Wiggins. He's in that same mold of Kent Bazemore. They're capable of playing both wing positions, shooting the three-ball, playmaking, rebounding for position, defending, and provide another athletic player that can get out in transition on a team that surprisingly lacks those.

They had Barton as the backup PG a lot this season. I wouldn't hate throwing the full mid level at him if that's what it took but I also think they may be able to get a couple players with that money.
What kind of role is Barton looking for?
What kind of Luxury tax is Denver willing to pay? Can they make some salary moves to help themselves there?

Depending on how Glen feels about paying the luxury tax we can always use Cole's contract as either a straight up trade for a player or a sign and trade giving up a future second round pick in addition to signing someone like Barton to the full MLE.
There won't be any help for this team between now and the end of the season. I've looked closely at all the remaining schedules. Factoring in how the various Western Conference teams have been playing lately, it's going to take at least 46 wins (probably 47) to finish in the top 6 and it will take at least 44 wins to finish in the top 8. So it's up to the Wolves to take matters into their own hands. As I've written before, I see 6 of the Wolves remaining games as games the Wolves absolutely should win. That might be just enough to finish 8th, but it could also leave the Wolves in the lottery. Yet, I could also see the Wolves winning as many as 10 of their remaining games, in which case the Wolves would likely finish 6th. Gallo is out again for the rest of the season. On paper there's no way the Wolves should finish behind the Clippers or Jazz, but they could finish behind one or both. I'd fire Thibs if that happened, but Glen probably won't.
The Wolves' next game at home against the Celtics this Thursday will be the bell weather game in my view. Winning that game will put the Wolves on track for at least 45 wins, but more importantly it will tell us what this team is made of. It could also generate some momentum that might carry over into the next road game against the Wizards. Maybe Butler gets back for the last home game against Denver on April 11. I'm keeping my expectations low right now.

Good news. I'd like to see the Clippers win this one. The Clippers are competing with us for the 7th or 8th spot. But the Pelicans are among the teams competing with us for the 3-6 in the West standings. My sights remain set on a top 6 finish -- maybe as high as 4th. If we end up battling for 7th or 8th place then I'd just as soon end up in the lottery.
