The Bulls are 3-11. Right now everyone is in good stats on a bad team mode because someone has to do it. If they can win with Lauri, Zach and Dunn being major cogs then it would make sense to re-view the trade, but right now they are just putting up empty stats on a bad team. That doesn't automatically equate to good stats on a good team.

Who is questioning the trade? Some of us are just interested in the performance of former Wolves. Lip suggested it might be worth reviewing in a year or two, but I think we all agree that we are glad to have Butler on the squad.

How about Oladipo!! He finished tonight with 29 points, 9 rebounds 5 assists, 7 steals and 2 blocks. He's been fantastic all season so far. Recall that he was Flip's favorite player in the 2014 draft and Flip tried hard to trade up and get him. Question: Would the Pacers swap Oladipo for Wiggins? The obvious answer is - No! The no deal list of players their respective teams would not trade straight up for Wiggins continues to grow. That's really troubling. But how much of this is on our head coach for failing to develop Wiggins and put him along with other players in the best possible position to succeed? I honestly don't know the answer. But I'd love to swap Thibs for any number of NBA head coaches.
Watching the Celtics and Mavs in overtime now. Fun game to watch. Irving has taken over in overtime and has 45 points so far after scoring 37 in his last game. There's no substitute for a great player who can put the team on his back with 40+ points while controlling the ball off the dribble and taking charge offensively in crunch time. The Wolves simply don't have anyone of that caliber on the roster, except perhaps for Towns.
All the elite teams have a player like that:
Cavs have LeBron
Warriors have Curry and Durant
Rockets have Harden
Boston has Kyrie

To be fair until this year Oladipo was pretty much an afterthought. Good player but nothing more. Now he has taken a big step in year 5 (wiggins in year 4) and the Pacers are oldipo team, the wolves aren't wiggins team

Hindsight is 20/20, and to be fair, there were a don a red flags with Wiggy coming out of college, most of which are evident today. But using highsight, maybe the way Flip use Wiggy that first year was detrimental to his development. For feeding him ISO plays and forcing him to go 1:1. He was used in the post a lot his rookie year also. But zero 3 point shooting, ole Flip hated that shot, zero moving without the ball. Who knows, so many things bug me about him. For one the ball comes off his hand different every jump shot, his misses are so bad, his floaters nears the rim are disgusting. I'm don't ranting on Wiggy

You're right about Oladipo before this season. But he's been consistently elite all season long so far and this was the player Flip envisioned when he came out of Indiana. In other words, this shouldn't be a surprise. It's a surprise that it took this long. Maybe Flip will turn out to be right about Wiggins too and it will be the magic year 5 (next season) when Wiggins takes his huge leap forward. But Oladipo has always had a lot of dog in him and has a terrific handle while Wiggins has been more of pussycat with a fairly shaky handle. I'm still hoping Wiggins is a sleeping dog about to wake up. :)
As for whether this is Wiggins team, the Wolves have always been there for the taking by any of our young guys. That's especially true for Wiggins who, under Flip and Thibs, has played more minutes than any other Wolves player and repeatedly been given the ball to make plays. Bottom line is that Oladipo has blossomed into the player Flip thought he'd be. Wiggins has not. Maybe Oladipo wouldn't be blossoming if still with OKC playing in the shadow of such a ball-dominant player like Westbrook, but I think he's be doing what he's doing on just about any team now in the NBA. Wiggins hasn't been in anyone's shadow. But maybe it's still just a matter of time. I'm excited to see his 5th-year transformation next season. :)
