After reading this story, I came away wondering where the damning evidence is. It may prove to be true, but when you state that you didn't verify the info your anonymous source gave you on tracking the accounts, it seems really reckless to post this article.
Why would BC post about the Jahlil physical if it wasn't true. The author contradicts himself by stating another anonymous source told him the deal fell through due to protections on picks. Wouldn't BC know this?
One source familiar with Okafor trade negotiations between the Sixers and the New Orleans Pelicans told The Ringer that the source was not aware of any failed physical for Okafor, and that the deal fell through because Colangelo and Pelicans general manager Dell Demps could not agree on pick protections.
Most of the posts could be associated to any team fan. Almost all of us have posted similar rants about players. I would also point out that many (myself included) have gone back to past trades to point out that we may have been right in our evaluations at the time. So commenting later on Noel, could also simply be a fan.
I have only read this article and haven't' followed up on anything else, but even if it is all true, is this really that bad? Leaking info is done by every team in hopes of creating a better offer for a player. Guys leak stuff from team/player meetings all the time.

People get fired pretty often from jobs for talking about stuff from their workplace on social media. This was pretty unprofessional.
I think most people think the most damning evidence is the 3 Twitter accounts coincidentally going private after the Sixers were contacted about just 2 accounts.

I can't stand news as presented by your local outlets all the way to your CNN's and Fox's. And it let's me essentially tailor that news to what I want based on who I follow. I follow a lot of NBA twitter so I get a lot of good news from those sources. I follow a couple of politically inclined people that will usually get the big stories of the day on my timeline. It's a great way to get content tailored to what you like and then you can do the deep dives yourself into stories rather than having to deal with the constant political slants that are in every media outlet. It's a great tool when you and the people you follow use it properly and it let's you connect with people you would normally have no prayer of interacting with.
Good points.
One caveat though... doesn't tailoring the news sources just exacerbate the echo chambers for many people?
I also have my own personal checklist for news outlets (not found on tv or cnn or fox). But people are creatures of habits and like-mindedness is huge right now and I can see the customization have both good/bad features.
Although your premise that it's a good starting point for news (especially timely news) makes sense.
It can definitely be a bad thing that your feed only shows you one side of issues. At the extreme just like with anything else it can get really bad. At the end of the day it's just a tool and it's still on the person to be open to all sides of issues (for the most part) and do some research themselves to form their own opinions. I do wish though that twitter would act like a private platform and rid itself of shit like the open racism and hate speech. I'm a firm believer in freedom of speech but not freedom from consequences. If you are a racist piece of garbage or throwing death threats at people your account should get shut down. To me they could be doing a lot more to curb that part of our culture and it would be nice to have a company out on the forefront of you can't just say whatever you want and claim free speech on their platform. Go somewhere else. Same with Facebook and other large public platforms of the like.
Good stuff here Kahns. I use Twitter much the same way but basically only use it for sports.
I think there is always a balance/tension between being open for discovery and being intentional and selective. You can't learn and be involved in everything. At different parts of my life I have tried to do pretty much everything. It's impossible.
Abe maybe you feel like you are the old guy or whatever but you always seem interested in beauty and innovation of some sort. I really respect and enjoy you takes on basketball and other things as well.

Also to add to this. BC admitted one of the accounts were him. All of the accounts also followed Chicago state basketball players (where his son plays). The accounts live tweeted the Chicago state games. Like monster said the 3 other accounts went private the day BC was informed about the other account. When you do the forgot password all the accounts have the same phone # and they are all his wife's number.
I would be shocked if BC wasn't fried. Even if his wife was all of the accounts. How is anyone going to trust him if he rips players on social media and announces medical info on social media that was not known (jahlil could sue him for HIPAA violation)

I agree with you and Monster. The evidence thus far is circumstancial, but it is also fairly compelling. I'm convinced that BC will be fired before the summer's over, probably before the upcoming draft.

Agreed. I'll be pretty shocked at this point if he isn't fired. I would think it will be tough to find out it wasn't Colangelo or someone close to him. At this point the explanation of this if it wasn't him or someone close to him is that it's a long con which is possible but doesn't seem particularly likely. I think there will be some evidence found that it was him or someone close to and close this thing (or at least enough to fire him) soon. This league has some interesting twists and turns so you never know.

So it was his wife.

Alternate ideas some for fun...
Yeah or does he love her more for it?
Was she the fall guy (girl)?
Does this save BC some?
Brett Brown is now in charge. Was this his master plan all along?
This league...
