Saying hi to Lip (Short Observations)

Post by ItsJustSoSab »

I waved to Lip at the Spurs game but he ignored me :(

Watching the game live in person I have a few observations (and complaints):
-For the love of baby Jesus I hate "hype" men/women, there was no play where he wasn't yelling something or playing terrible music. I just wanted one, ONE, ONNEEEEEE time where he shut up, but I digress
-I literally forgot Wiggins except for a play here and there, not a shot at him really, but i literally forgot of his existence
-Butler was HORRIBLE on offense, missing easy shot after easy shot, but he doesn't quit
-When Tyus and Belly came in the energy is the entire arena changed after a few plays, other then the end of the game their first stretch together was the most fun/exciting/energetic time to watch in person
-KAT was a boss, championship Towns
-Gibson was a great signing, great glue guy
-Teague can score, wish Tyus got more run though sadly
-Crawfords ball handling is a work of art
-Thibs loves to yell things at players that players then proceed not to do on Defense and then look disgusted with life itself
-Prices are too damn high for beer

-the spurs will beat us with leonard unless KAT does that everygame in the playoffs and Butler/Wiggins show up

Actually, it was. Just thought I'd see if I could get away with misleading you into believing that wave was meant for you. I'm obviously busted!

Good stuff Sab. Yeah, I get tired of the constant sound system/hype stuff while at games (I go to one home game a year when I'm in town during the holidays). They should just go old school and get a pep band. Get rid of the dumb howling during opponent free throws too. Sooooo tired of that schtick. It's just annoying at this point.

My friend looked at me beliwered at while I wasn't also howling. 1. Shit doesnt work, Pau isnt suddenly gonna forget how to shoot FT's because of it. 2. The arena sounded like it was haunted by a tired ghost. 3. Why woulndt I make normal loud noises, is a howl really that loud? 4. Don't tell me when to cheer

Also the howl has nothing on the yogurt thing they do in the fourth quarter, if they miss two FT's back to back we all get ice cream....right after we all get seizures from the rapidly blinking ad.

"Everybody clap your hands. Clap, clap, clap clap....". No way anybody is telling LST when to clap! I agree with you guys about the annoying sound effects, and lament the lack of originality in the NBA...seems like every arena uses the same irritating stuff.

I don't know if things have changed in Fenway Park, but how delightful it was to go to a ball game there and have no obnoxious organ or piped in sound...I hope they haven't changed and never do.

Yeah, total lack of creativity in most NBA arenas, including Target Center. Sometimes less is more....
