This loss is on Thibs...plain and simple. Our roster is so superior, but Van Gundy once again out-coaches our idiot coach. 3 exhausted starters playing over 40 minutes and unable to defend anyone the last 5 minutes.

Eh, might have something to do with it but reggie made some tough shots. Not like it was a layup line and open jumpers.

Lost to a good team. On to the next one

50/50 game....we won these earlier in the year with some lucky shots. Not all will go our way. Thibs can't be happy with all the freakin' TOs (I think 13 total between just Butler, Teague, and Wiggins).

The problem is the next one is tomorrow night. So not only did Thibs potentially overplay his starters tonight, but that could also impact tomorrow night's energy and effort. Not good.

That is what I can get behind. Starters shouldn't play that many minutes. But reggie made very nice plays down the stretch. Props to him. Now I'm worried about tomorrow

At what point do the analytics guys Thibs keep in the Target Center boiler room convince him that Bazz is almost unplayable.....-10 in 7 minutes. Net rating now of -14.2, easily the worst among our 10 man rotation. Could MGH be that much worse? I honestly don't know. Our lack of wing depth is readily apparent.

It's a worthwhile question. He has really struggled (though he was a little better the previous 2 games) and tonight he had all those fouls. One way he can become more useful is if he uses those post ups to make teams react instead of just looking to score. He did that some the previous game passing out. His lack of 3 point shooting is killer. I was pleased he came back and thought he would actually benefit from playing with some players that may actually work well with his game but while the other FA moves have looked pretty good he has been bad. Sometimes it doesn't work out. We will see. There is no way he keeps struggling this much though espcially doing what he is actually sorta good at...scoring.

That's pretty much how I felt. The Wolves could have easily won this game but the Pistons made some good plays down the stretch.

Ya the Pistons scored on 10 straight possessions to win. I would say the only play that was defended poorly in my opinion was the Drummond lob.

They made plays and hit shots. Now could the wolves played better offensive, yes of course. But I feel more like the Pistons took the game instead of the wolves lost the game.

Props to the Pistons.

I 100% agree with Q though Kat needs more post touches, especially when the offense stalls. Don't know why we don't run that wiggins, towns double elbow look with Teague or butler at point. That look was very successful last year and we haven't went to it much if at all

You can blame Thibs for minutes, but every starter but Taj was a plus tonight while every bench player but Belly was a minus. Hard to argue he made a bad call with the minutes when your bench is losing a point a minute to the other team when they are out on the court. He basically had to pick giving up the lead all together with the bench and hope the starters can bring it back or hope the starters can hold a lead to close out the game with heavy minutes. Not an easy choice either way. Deng can't be bought out any faster to push Bazz out of the rotation.

Yeah, the bench was not very good last night (losing Crawford hurt). But I maintain bench players need consistent minutes to play up to their abiltiy, and we learned last year (and are seeing agina this year) that Thibs just won't do that. Tyus, Belly, Gorgui and Crawford are simply not getting enough minutes to play at thier best level, and to give the starters the necessary rest they need to not blow 10 point leads in the 4th quarter.

I have to agree on Bazz...he's a disaster this year. Deng would be nice, but maybe Georges-Hunt needs a chance. Can his minutes be worse than Bazz's?
