I swear to f***ing god if Glen actually tries to fight this instead of settling out of court I will lose my s***
We've already alienated and pushed out KG who just HAPPENS to be KAT's idol, and now this?
I'm sure this will really help us keep KAT in MN smh

Just bizarre news. I agree Glen needs to handle this with sensitivity if Sr. pushes it, and I'm confident he will. Here is the conversation I would rather see happen:
Karl Jr.: Dad, you're my father and I love you...and I'm grateful for how you have raised me and your support for my career. And I'm sorry that this accident happened. But it was an accident, and pursuing a legal case against my employer is not going to be helpful to my career and image. Glen is going to pay me well over $100 million before I am 27 years old, not to mention the tens of millions I am going to get from endorsements, and I (and you and mom) are not going to be able to spend all the money he gives us. Is another million or two from Glen really worth the potential negative press we get from this? Let's drop this.
Karl Sr.: Yeah, you're right.
By the way, when do I get my next check from you?

As noted in the last line... I don't see this making it to the court room.
Taylor may have already written the check...

I have been curious how this would play out but yeah i don't see it getting too interesting.
I think what's tricky is the Wolves can't treat Karl Sr. too preferentially or it will likely have some negative ramifications both legally and otherwise. I don't think it's unrealistic that he would look for some compensation for being injured. The article didn't say what the injury ended up being. I don't see this as being significantly different than making an insurance claim. I doubt this will get ugly. If both sides agreed to some compensation I would think his injury would have to play out a bit so they know what kind of medical bills and pain and suffering they would need to compensate him for. Do you think he will contact TSR injury law? That would be funny. :)

I would do the same thing as Karl Sr if Glen ends up trying to fight it, his knee was destroyed by a damn mascot sledding down stairs and smashing chairs into his knee. I HATE people blaming their problems on others and never taking responsibility but this is all the Wolves fault imo.

It is the Wolves fault. I'm talking from a strictly suing for damages perspective because people left and right sue for more than they deserve based on what happened. It was an accident. Get the medical cost and move on. Or have your millionaire son pay for it and stop letting greedy lawyers talk you in to suing the Wolves for way more than you deserve.

I think athletes are paid entirely too much.
I think money is often an evil pursuit for too many.
I think Towns probably takes care of his folks financially in some ways.
I also think Towns Sr. has every right to sue or ask for money over this... regardless of how much money his son has.
For all we know, Towns refuses to accept any money from his son. And for all we know, this injury significantly hurts him at his job as a high school coach. Last I checked... high school coaches aren't well paid. And that's beside the point. The Wolves/Crunch were negligent. It's gonna cost them.
[Note: Conversely... Glen Taylor's wealth >>>>>>> KAT's wealth. Pony up, Glen. Use the money you got from the Roy/Foye trade.]

Am I the only only who sees this as the perfect opportunity to go around the CBA and pay the Towns family more than the possible max. Wiggins gets the five year max. Towns get 4 years plus a nice compensation via Towns Papa. It will be very neat, Silver won't be able to prove anything.

Love it Brooklyn.
I am sure this is about the insurance company paying and not Glen.
