If the Knicks -- Phil Jackson -- are able to work out a deal with the Clippers, I'd hope Thibs is one of the first to make an offer for Courtney Lee. Bargain contract. Very good role player on both ends. New York would have little reason to keep him or Joakim Noah.

You want the guy that got benched in favor of Ron Baker? :)

Melo says he wants to stay in NY. I've been hearing for years that's where he wants to play. I'll be a little surprised if he is moved but your thought of him going to the Clippers makes some sense although I don't know what the Clippers are really going to give up to get Melo.

The Knicks really need to blow their roster up and build around Portzingis. But knowing them they'll resign Rose to a max deal, keep Carmelo and be a train wreck again for the next ten years.

Yeah that's pretty much been the Knicks for a while. I think if Melo is serious about staying I might blow everything else up and try and get young players/assts for a guy like Lee or Noah (if someone would take him) and tell Melo we are rebuilding and see what happens. Phil has been able to find or luck into some decent rotation/complimentary players so that's something. I think they have some cap space this summer even without dealing guys so maybe they could signs some players that would actually fit well....or just be overpaid guys. Lol

A local article in Brandon Knights value. Spoiler alert it's low. If there was something to give up the Suns would want I would have some interest in taking a chance on him but he is signed through 2020 which of he turns out to be a pretty useful player that would be fine or maybe even a nice value but...he is an inefficient scorer that hasn't been an iron man and supposedly sucks at defense. I still remember Tyus shoving him around in a game last year. It was both hilarious and pathetic.

Kahns another reason the Suns probably aren't looking to go after Gay is they have a similar player in TJ Warren. He is 23 years old, already on their roster and on contract for another year and then will be a RFA in 2019. If he is healthy I would imagine they want to give him minutes and see what they have in him.

It's a bit of a weird time in the league right now with a bunch of legit rotation PG and combo guards that are relatively easily attainable one way or another.

Rubio
Jennings
Rondo
MCW
Knight
Elfrid Payton
Deron Williams
Darren Collision

A couple other guys like Lin and Corey Joseph were signed pretty recently that fit as well. And we haven't gotten to the Aaron Brooks types yet. It's quite the time for talented flawed PGs right now and Derrick Rose is about Robbie a FA where will a guy like that fit into the equation?

And this draft is supposed to be loaded with PG talent. Some of those guys I mentioned on the list may not be getting bigtime contracts or they will have to settle for short term ones and home they show something to get a bigger deal later. There are some teams with a need at PG or at least don't seem to have the answer at this point. The Wolves are in familiar ground. They have talent at that position but...will they make the right decisions or will they pass up getting the right guy?

I don't know if you're being serious.

They have the odds of Rubio being traded at 50%. I just don't see a trade that makes us better trading him. I hope we land a top 3 pick grab a PG and sign Ibaka. I think Rubio coming off the bench would make a second until very productive.

I agree about some of this. But would Rubio settle for that?

Isn't there a decent to good chance Rubio wants out even more than the Wolves want him out?

Abe - I don't think he cares if he is winning and getting nearly 20 minutes a night.

I have no way of knowing whether he would... or wouldn't. But I've heard where he might be trying to find a way out behind the scenes... as in having his agent leak the story.

Any possibility to that?

I wonder what we could give up for C.J. McCollum to be our starting PG.
