The Heat should consider that offer, in my opinion, but they'd need a third team to move Vucevic to as he's incapable of playing next to Hassan Whiteside. I think he'd look good in Minnesota and I think he could be had relatively easily if that trade is made.

I would love to have vucevic! I say the heat would probably ask for our draft pick next year or dunn as they are in rebuilding phase. I dont think they would ask for rubio.

Its either draft pick+tyus+hill/aldrich or dunn+hill/aldrich. I will do either for vucevic

i believe Wiggins will continue to improve as a ball handler and that is going to give some SFs bigtime problems. Some of those guys don't move as well as SGs.

As for Wiggins doing other stuff...he and Lavine do need to step up their games in those areas to some extents. Wiggins had another time he was fouled going for a rebound. He had a stretch for a while he had one of those every game. There isn't a stat for that. He has to be more consistant in his effort. What I think Thibs has been happy with both guys is they work at it and want to be good and willing to put in the work every day to do it. That's what Thins really wants and these guys deliver on that end. That's not a small thing when that's Thibs culture he is trying to create.

Nope. That's not to say that I wouldn't trade Dunn, but I'm not high on Saric.

That's an interesting offer. I would have to mull it over after watching a lot more than what I have seen of Saric so far although I have watched more than a couple games. Ultimately I think I would keep Dunn for his weak side shotblocking ability from the PG position. :)

Hicks as a fan you have been in it from the beginning a few of us have been as well. I get where you are coming from. The thing is you can't make decisions based on the past futility of the franchise. You have to make decisions about what is the right thing to do now with this roster and looking to the future. The Wolves didn't get a vet or 2 this offseason that would have helped this team win some more games. The guys they really wanted didn't end up here. They wanted to be careful with their money because they wanted to be able to afford guys down the road. Will they be able to keep guys? Idk but they dont have to make those decisions yet. How long will this thing take? It's hard to say it depends on development of players. It depends on if they can swing the right trade or sign a couple FAs that are worthwhile. A lot of that is not in their control. If this is a well run franchise we will know within 2 years from now because the roster will be stocked with more talent throughout the roster. I don't think you have to wait till next year to see what we have I think this season is going to show us something they still have a chance at the playoffs espciallly if they can avoid big injuries that are hitting other teams. I know that's asking a lot but this team is headed in the right direction.

Stein: Story going online now with @ChrisBHaynes: ESPN sources say Minnesota and Detroit have discussed a PG swap of Ricky Rubio and Reggie Jackson

Boy, this would be ballsy. Jackson has not been good this year and his personality is questionable to me. On the other hand, he offers some of the things that we could really use from our lead guard. I trust Thibs. If he thinks he can get him to focus and play within the team, then it could be a homerun. Jackson is no doubt talented. If not, we have a poor player stuck on a $16-18M per year deal stuck on the payroll for the next several years.

He is signed for one more year than Rubio for 3-4 million more a year. Remember good backup PGs are going to make over 10 million so his contract while still a lot of money might not be all that bad. It would be interesting to see how it would work with all those scorers on the same team but damn that would be a heck of a deal and gamble to bring him in if they didn't have to add much more than Rubio and Bazz. SVG is an interesting guy.

There's no incentive to add him as a backup PG not would he be one. This is damn near an admission of guilt that Dunn was the wrong guy.

And God help this franchise if they keep losing and wind up in a situation where they may be in position to draft one of those great college PG's.

Unless we can get KCP with Jackson I want no part of that trade. Jackson is a weed we frankly shouldn't be willing to get unless we win the deal big time which adding KCP would accomplish. Jackson carries himself like a superstar when he is far from one. I see a big clash between him and our big 3 if we bring him here. He's not a fit in kind of player. He wants to do thing his way with him running the show and he's not good enough to be that guy. His 28+% usage rate the last 3 years is higher than anyone on our team right now. He's a decent player who tries to do way more than he should because he thinks he's better than he is and that's a dangerous mindset to add to this team from a spot that can dominate the ball.

Mmmm, trade a flawed team-first player for a flawed me-first player. I know who I'd rather have!
