More Iman Shumpert speculation.

I really don't see the pieces matching with the Cavs though. I would guess a third team would need to be involved.

Please no.
Re: Trade market and trade hype thread
A lot of cousins rumors going on tonight. Said Boston is not one of the teams (what is shocking.
I am guessing the wolves can't get into the deal but it is said they want picks, young players and expiring contacts.
Lavine, Dunn, hill, pek (if traded can he be medically retired off another team?) And the wolves 1st for cousins and a top 20 protected 2017 1st (so we can trade our 1st) if not given this year turns into a 2nd next year

Per marc stein they kings are strongly considering Hield and 2 fists for cousins. If the wolves want cousins I think he could be had

Re: Trade market and trade hype thread
I think Portland is going to be willing to do some deals. They simply spent WAY too much unwise money this last off-season, and they need to shed salary. My guess, everyone but Lillard and McCollum are available now (even that may change in off-season).
We certainly want no part of guys they just signed like Crabbe and Turner, but I have some interest moving forward for all of Ed Davis, Aminu and Harkless. Look, none of these guys are great players, but they have all shown the ability to step in and play meaningful minutes throughout their career....something we are lacking with our current backups. Both Aminu and Davis have declining contracts, and aren't signed for more than 2 more years. They are being paid appropriately, and I have a hard time imagining getting any better value in free agnecy when the contracts rise again next season.
Was thinking following deal:
Hill/Bjelica/Rush for Davis/Aminu
What does Portland get from this? They clear about $10MM next season. They have a logjam of mid-level players, and this move doesn't really change the dynamic of their team. Wolves get better depth players that I feel fit Thibs style better, and thus they may actually see the court and relieve some minutes from starting 5. This is an important factor as we move forward.

I think even Lillard or McCollum are available.
They're both very good players. But they might not be a good enough combo together (mainly defensively) for it to work.

Dunn might actually work in Portland as a 3rd guard. I wouldn't mind Harkless or Crabtree. I know they are paid pretty well, but would be very solid bench players for us. I also would be interested in Terrence Jones. Dude has baggage, but might be a good fit next to Towns and possible upgrade from Dieng.

There are already rumors that Jones is available.

For basically nothing.

Aminu intrigues me. He can defend 3s and 4s and can rebound the ball....would love to see a guy like that next to Wiggins for long stretches.
