Dave Schwartz (Kare11 news) just reported that Patton will miss the entire season....
Note: haven't found anywhere else reporting this so hopefully it's just a no time table deal and that the team isn't going to rush him back. Also, sounds like the same injury Durant had in 2015.

Well, that summer league team is going to be fun to watch.

Well, that sucks. However.....I didn't want him - or any rookie for that matter - to be a big part of our team this year. Let's hope this doesn't become a long-term problem.

I heard it was the same break Simmons had. I guess Simmons this year will be a slight look into future expectations? All players/injuries so vary, but at least it could provide somewhat of a baseline.
It doesn't seem overwhelmingly positive, seeing as it was first reported as a 3-4 month injury and then a day later reported as 6+ months.

This story has quotes from Patton. obviously he is an optimistic kid.

Simmons missed the entire season because for some reason his foot didn't heal properly. He had surgery in October and in February they found it wasn't healing properly and did a marrow injection. If Patton doesn't have any complications like that he should be able to return to play at least in the G league espcially since his break happened now compared to a few weeks before the season started like Simmons. Obviously the long term health is the biggest question and hopefully it's not a problem.
