Regarding the salary expectations of Teodosic, I found this from 23/5/17:

Interesting info, Eitan. Thanks for posting.

Based on this report, I could see the Wolves signing Teo to a 3-year $25.5 million deal after trading Aldrich and our OKC pick for more cap space. Teo's 3-year deal would be around $8.5 million per year. But assuming around $10.5 million in cap space after dealing Aldrich, we'd have only around $2 million cap space left. So the only money we'd have to sign another significant FA would be the $4.3 million room exception.

The question Thibs and Layden will have to answer is whether Teo is worth the OKC pick we'd be giving away for the cap space to get him compared to keeping the pick or signing someone else with the extra cap space. As I look at the field, I don't see anyone else among available free agents who I'd be inclined to pursue if it required giving up our OKC pick. Teo is a special offensive talent who MIGHT be worth it. But I don't see anyone else being worth it.

So I'd consider trading the pick if it would get us Teo. Otherwise, I think we're at a point where we should wait for the dust to settle and then sign best available free agent wing and PG, using the remaining $3 million cap space on one and the $4.3 million room exception on the other.

I'd question whether they would be willing to do a guaranteed 3rd year for that kind of money (maybe for anyone that is left) and espcially for a guy that you really don't know for sure what you are going to get. It sounds like based on what Wolfson has said this report of interest is basically overblown anyway.

I think Thibs would be willing to do a guaranteed 3rd year for $8.5 million if it's the right player. But I'm not sure Thibs would do it for Teo given your point about not knowing what we're getting. With a guy like Afflalo, you know what you're getting as an established NBA player. But at his age, I wouldn't see the Wolves giving him a 3rd or 4th year for that kind of money.

We haven't seen any reports of interest by any team in Afflalo. But I'm going to predict that the Wolves eventually sign him. He just makes too much sense for the Wolves -- an established NBA two-way wing who shoots well from behind the arc albeit at a low volume.
