Update by the AP GUY
Just was listening to Jon Krawczynski on KFAN with Barreiro.
(1) CJ's preference is to come to Minnesota over any other options right now.
(2) Sign and Trade with Indy is on the table. Both teams interested. Cole is the one who would be traded to make salary work.
(3) Indiana also wants the OKC 1st rounder, but Thibs doesn't want to give it up. This is apparently what's holding up the deal.

How about one or more of the following G/D-League players?
Pierre Jackson -- Small quick 25-yr old PG who can shoot the 3.
Vander Blue -- Ball-hawk 25-yr old SG.
Eric Moreland -- Rebounding/shot-blking 25 yr old PF- 12.2R and 2.7B last season
Lorenzo Brown - Remember him? Long, defensive PG. Still young at 26 yrs old
Jabari Brown - High scoring 25-yr old SG who hit 40.2% of his 3s last season
Keith Benson - 28-yr old shot blocking, rebounding Center
Jalen Jones - 24-yr old forward - review says excellent multi-pos def/w great motor.
Not sure who among these guys is available. And the only ones I've seen play are Pierre Jackson, Lorenzo Brown and Keith Benson. So I'm relying on on-line reviews and D-League stats.
Thoughts? Others not listed?

Interesting info. Thanks, Bloop! Thibs should hold firm and be willing to walk away. The whole League is watching and knows about this impasse. So it's not just about keeping the 1st round pick as I think he should. It's also about sending a signal to the League that he's serious about valuing our picks and is willing to walk away from the table.

After that sign a couple young guys to some partially guaranteed deals and hope they impress.
I don't think something like my plan is unrealistic and the bench would be decent. It won't be perfect but I don't see many options that will fix the bench might as well go cheap and probably all on 1 year deals except maybe a young player Dona cheap multitear deal.
Monster - I'd be fine with your scenario of using the RE to get Henderson and the vet minimum to sign Dunleavy, Rush and a good vet backup PG. My suggestion for PG would be Aaron Brooks who would also add much-needed 3-point shooting to the roster. Brooks is a career 37% 3-point shooter and a true ball-handling PG. Is Thabo still available and, if so, do you think we could get him for the vet minimum? And what about Afflalo? Is he still unsigned? Would you rather use the RE on Henderson than Afflalo and, if so, why? I'm not sure myself, so I'm curious as to your thinking.
I don't like watching Aaron Brooks play basketball. Brings back bad Troy Hudson memories/nightmares.

PG - Rubio or Teague, doesn't really matter
SG - Butler
SF - George
PF - who cares
C - KAT
That's a team that would instantly contend. It punts our first rookie max out a year (only KAT now) while leaving open the possibility of re-signing Paul George.
I wonder how many vets would take a discount to join a core of KAT/Butler/George?
One issue with that Q is that if George does resign he would possibly cost a ton more money than Wiggins and of course there is no assurances he comes back.
Despite what LST keeps putting forth i see no indications that a Thibs is questioning if Wiggins is a significant piece moving forward. We will see.
No doubt Thibs is a huge fan of Wiggins and is not going to give up on him. We'll see if he can mold him into the two-way all star we had all hoped for when originally traded here for Kevin Love.
I hope Thibs is a fan of Wig too, but there are complications. Giving Teague that third year means that one of our four high-paid players will not be on the roster in 2019-20...Thibs isn't going to get rid of Butler or KAT, so it's down to Teague or Wig. Obviously Wig is a bigger key to our future, but he is also worth much more in a trade than Teague. If Thibs gives Wig his max contract after his rookie contract is over (and I think he is likely to), then we will have a new PG running the show in 2019-20. Maybe Tyus...who knows? With Butler's ability to handle the ball, it's not as critical an issue as it might be if we didn't have him...we don't necessarily need a big assist guy at PG. But the Teague deal does provide Thibs with a big challenge in 2019-20. I think we will find out how good a GM he is based on how he handles this cap/lux tax issue.

Re: Wolves One Last Significant Move?
With Patton being out for the year I'm more ok with trading the OKC pick. Patton is basically gonna be a rookie next year and I don't think we need 2 rookies on the team. If it means we get a shooter like Miles who can play both wing spots I would do it if we get him for 2+1.

Do we have an MLE to offer the guy? Or just the room exception? What's the difference?
Seems like there's still a few vet shooters out there unsigned and not a lot of money left. Afflalo, Jason Terry, Vince Cater, Babbitt, Dunleavy, heck, Dante Cunningham shot nearly 40% last year. I would push hard to try to get Miles to accept less so we don't have to trade away our first.
If we did trade away the first, I'd rather do it knowing we could sign Bogdanovic from the Wiz.
Ilyasova's still out there! He'd be a great stretch 4 off the bench, although our primary goal should be a wing shooter.
By the way, I just saw Nick Young's salary of 5.2 million will cost the Warriors another 10-13 in luxury tax. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Either guy would work for me. I thought Henderson might come cheaper because he isn't as accomplished as a 3 point guy. Both are kinda tough vets but Inlike Henderson as a lesser version of Iggy and it seems like his last 2 stops he has been the old guy embracing his role. He has more ability to handle the ball than Afflalo I think. I just like Henderson. Either guy for the Room would be great. Henderson is also a guy nobody has really talked about.

Re: Wolves One Last Significant Move?
Just posted on the other thread I saw Boston was rumored to be shopping Bradley, Smart, or Crowder!?!?
http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/246770/Celtics-Aggressively-Seeking-Trade-Of-Marcus-Smart-Jae-Crowder-Or-Avery-Bradley
Holy cow, could we get Bradley (great player) or Crowder (good player, great contract)?
