Jameer Nelson resigns with Nuggets. I love the Miller signing, but he or Ridnour might have been better fits if Rubio goes down again.

Really, I would take Miller every time.

Jameer is looking for a long term job, whether as a starter or backup. I doubt the idea of mentoring his own replacement at backup PG is on his list of things to do. I know Miller is up there in years, but I have more doubts about what Luke has left in the tank than what Miller has left in the tank!

Of the three, Miller strikes me as the best at running an offense. We have a lot of options on offense. I want a PG that will help those options score. Not to mention Miller is one of the better lob passers in the league... Give me some of that!

I like Miller better for this team with a healthy Rubio for sure. I debate him if Rubio is hurt. I think we end up with LaVine or Jones playing most of the minutes at PG then. I don't see Miller logging 20+ minutes a night at this point, but then again if we lose Rubio we might as well tank again or I mean let the youth play.

I am a fan of Jameer his while career but I don't think he has that much left in the tank either of he has to start for a chunk of games. As a backup yeah he is solid but at this point I would rather have a backup that makes sense if Ricky is healthy and miller fits that pretty well.

Personally I would rather have Miller even with Ricky hurt because I feel like his minutes will be consistently productive and show the young guys (Tyus) how to get it done when they are out there. Most backup PGs are backups because they are inconsistent and Jameer even though I like the guy falls into that too now. Miller is just old but he gives you a known thing every time he steps on the floor.

Edit: I would have been happy with Jameer as a backup also. That was a solid signing for Denver and even moreso with Lawson's issue and being shipped out. In all honesty I would probably put him and Miller close together when it comes to total value. Jameer can shoot the three and is a solid all around guy and generally is underrated. I am more excited about Miller though he has more to offer as an old vet to show and tell to the young guys while still having his game.

The issue with Miller was his lack of 3 point shooting and he needed to be able to play as a PG to be worth having around. Some teams just didn't/don't roll like that and that was even before the 3 pointer got really sexy. He isn't a system guy but a really good player you can't just throw in any system though. Playing behind Rubio for a coach who loves his PGs to run a team is right in his wheelhouse.

Miller is 40. My expectations are really low for him.

My expectations are that Miller will hold on to leads that the starters give him, something that we have not gotten from our recent back up PG's. If he can do this, this team could be quite good.

Low expectations for Miller. You want Martin out of here. And you don't like KG. That's everyone over 30 on the roster.

I do believe there is an age discrimination suit headed your way if you are not careful! ;-)

We only 3 guys over 30? and they're all only on for 1 or 2 years. That is nice!

KG
Miller
Pek
Martin

So actually 4 but yeah your point still stand. After that we have old man Rudez (29) then Bjelica (27) and then I think it's Dieng and Brown if he makes it (25) then Payne and Rubio (24). Lots of young talent and some of it has actually shown signs of being worthwhile.
