We have rubio and wiggins who should have the ball at end of games. You have martin who can get off his shot and KG is still good at making plays at the high post. We need rebounders, finishers, defense in end of games situations. So happens that pek, dieng and towns are all excellent ft shooters, good rebounders and better at defense than bjelica. Its not like bjelica is a 3pt specialist either. If we go small then lets put bazz in there. He finishes at the rim, is fearless, crashes the boards and can shoot 3's.

I think bjelica is a rotation guy. I would certainly play him ahead of payne and AB and wont have a problem if he is the backup to kg. But I dont agree that he and kg are our best bigs as Q states and I feel pek, dieng and even towns are better options for me.

You are making some mighty big assumptions about a rookie big man (Towns), the starting Center for one of the worst defenses in franchise history, and NBA history for that matter (Dieng), and a guy who is chronically injured (Pek).

I honestly don't know how good of a defender and rebounder Bjelica is going to be in the NBA, but the group you are comparing him against don't exactly set the bar very high. What I do know is that he can dribble and pass the ball from the 4-spot and none of those other guys have that skill-set.

Lol Q. You where the one who make a mightily big assumption that bjelica is one of our 2 best big and he will finish games for us based on his euro league play. You dismiss pek and dieng despite their actual nba experience.

Based on your post above, you states that you dont know how good bjelica is at defense and on the boards. You are only sure that he can dribble and pass therefore he should close games for us andbis one of our two best bigs. Lol. Your better than that Q.

LOL all you want Worldk. I feel like I have backed my prediction with pretty sound logic. In due course, we'll see if it's an "LOL-worthy" prediction.

To be clear Q, The lol part is about you basically saying at the end that all you know about bjelica is he can pass and shoot and that's it. That is a lol worthy statement.

If you just come out and said you like bjelica and has a good feeling about him then fine, I have no problem with it.

Coolbreeze said it too, he likes bjelica and he will be really good, I have no problem with his approach. Your approach is to throw out stats, dismiss pek, dieng and towns(because he is a rookie like bjelica!). Then towards the end, you basically admit that you don't know how bjelica will do aside from being able to dribble and pass.

Yikes, you should have stood your ground instead you accuse others of making 'mightily big assumption' when you just make the biggest one yourself when you said bjelica is one of top two bigs along with kg but admitbyou don't know how he will do except that he can dribble and pass and you want to say that you give sound logic? Your better than that Q or so I thought.

Whatever. I'm throwing out predictions here, simple as that. I predict Bjelica will be our second best big next season. I predict he will often be on the floor late in close games. I don't actually know if any of these things will end up being true because the future hasn't happened yet.

What I know is that he has a unique skill-set compared to our other bigs, which is what I'm basing the predictions on.

You can continue to do further forensics on the semantics of my argument or we can continue to debate the actual substance.

Q does that mean you are predicting KG will be our best big?

I think along with Bjelica he will be one of our two best bigs. Unfortunately, he'll only be a part-timer.

By the way, I'm only talking about next year. Ultimately, I would certainly hope Towns grows into a perennial all-star. But the rookie year for NBA bigs at his age can be pretty ugly, especially on defense.

I state my case already. Your main argument that has actual substance is that he has skill sets that our other bigs dont have. From the beginning my side has been how our other bigs can do things that he cant do or prove he can and how they might be better fit in closing games. I To prop up your argument and prediction, you dismiss and downplay the rest our bigs, i merely states the positive attributes the others have and why it might be better to go with them. Its that simple q.

1. Pekovic should NOT be included in any discussions centered around games played in the 2015-16 season. He's not a lock to play let alone be a rotation player. The only talks including him should be about trades or his contract.

2. Dieng is a nice player, but he does have his flaws. Q's said it plenty of times, but his defense leaves something to be desired. He gets bullied by bigger players, he opens his hips far too often when smaller, quicker players drive on him; he tries to swat their shot off the glass and instead they get a layup. He's also not the most versatile offensive player. He's crafty, but he's not at the level where you can trust him to make a winning play down the stretch. There could absolutely be better options.

Q simply downplayed the defense of Towns and Dieng. Both guys have potential to be good defenders (Dieng as soon as this year) but aren't locks to even be average. Bjelica is a guy that has played a lot of pro basketball and has plenty of length and athletic ability he should at least not suck and may even be decent on that end. The gap may not be that wide between those guys defensively I think that was the point Q was trying to make. If Pek was healthy (Milt said he feels really good right now cross your fingers) he would be the 2nd best defensive big on the team until someone proves otherwise. That's a low bar and I have faith Dieng takes a step forward in that area but we shall see. Who knows maybe Flip goes with someone we haven't even mentioned in crunch time at a typical big man spot.
