Dieng has smoothed out his game and it's paid off. What I like about Dieng on both sides of the ball is he plays to his strengths. He can get housed by stronger guys so he moves around and pokes the ball away sometimes outright stealing passes. He will front guys. Defensively I think he is pretty intriguing next to Towms. Q was the guy wanting Dieng playing PF and Dieng quite frankly has been way better at that spot than anyone could have expected. I have no idea how he does it but he sticks with a lot of guys that are much quicker and should make him look bad. As for interior defense some of the problem is that Towns is still a rookie and beyond Prince and Rubio perimeter defense is not that great. Someone said Sam said they don't have a defensive coach? Well that's good Sam recognizes that. We have seen plenty of teams get a lot better on that end with coaching. Hopefully no matter who is coaching this team next season we have someone with defensive chops coaching this team.

I'd like to see Dieng stick around but I always have. I like the possible chemistry of him staying here. Let's be honest if you want a championship team you have to keep adding talent and the Wolves need to keep adding talent. I wouldn't say Dieng is mostly untouchable but I have doubts about getting back the right player for him and I would guess he has plenty of value around the league right now especially since he is a guy that you could basically oddly play him as a small ball center.
