No. That's why I said trade him for a first rounder.

Haha. Yeah I used to be in the camp of letting guys walk and use the money for free agents, but now, not so much.

We will see...
What type of player will he be after this season? Maybe he sucks maybe he gets better. Let's see
He will be a restricted free agent. That's going to make teams hesitate. I think Delly is the only restricted guy to have an offer from another team so far in this spree. There will be other offers but that makes teams not want to tie up those money for 10 days.
Let's see how the rest of the FA process plays out. There might be some deals that may compare more to Bazz value (there is a large range represented on this forum) and make it seem less crazy to think of keeping him on a salary like that.
The Wolves could trade him this season if a deal comes available.

It will be interesting to see how much Ian Mahinmi gets paid, as I think that will be a good indication as to how much Dieng is set to get paid (although I think Dieng is the better player).

We'll see how Bazz plays this season under Thibs. Right now the answer is no, I would not pay Bazz $15 million a year. But I would definitely pay Gorgui $15 million a year if that's what it took to keep him. It would be a bargain compared to the over $18 million year Evan Turner is getting. I don't see Mahinmi's upcoming contract as a benchmark for what Gorgui is worth in the NBA free agent market. Gorgui's a significantly better player than Ian.

You're probably right. Wishful thinking on my part. He's probably worth Biyombo money.

Gorgui has made a lot of money this offseason without breaking a sweat.
