Supposedly either Bogut or Iguadala will have to be traded out for them to avoid luxury tax. Both salaries are around 11. I am intrigued by both, but I think Iggy would be my first choice just based on him being healthier and his versatility.

Wow I'm shocked.
I might hate GS the most of any team now.
What the heck does OKC do now? That makes their draft night deal look even better. What SF is out there they could add?

Does this put Westbrook on the trade market?
Where does Russell end up next offseason?
How long before OKC is the worst team in the West?
I'm not one who believes Durant makes the Warriors that much better. They already shoot as many threes as possible. Durant will just take shots from Curry and Klay.
If OKC is smart, they'll look to move Westbrook now. They need to get something for him while they can. LA has a ton of assets, as does Boston. Blow it up and rebuild. You already got great value for Ibaka, you should be able to get a kings ransom for Westbrook. Take advantage.
I agree, they can't lose Russell for nothing. A few teams could make plays that would make sense. I'd offer Dunn, Ricky, and Gorgui for him.

Either Ingram or Brown in trades to either the Lakers or Celtics for Westbrook. They have to move him in my mind because I doubt he stays there long term.

For the Warriors, their depth was the key for their success. This move depletes that. There is only one ball and three guys that will need it. I don't think this is a good team move. I know everyone will disagree, but I don't think the big three dynamic is a good one, unless the third wheel in the big 3 is a unselfish player who creates, rebounds, and defends at a high level.
Yeah I don't like it either from any standpoint (GS, fans, league and of course OKC). 26 mill to not improve the team much if at all. bye bye depth and long term success.
Re: Durant to Golden State
This is bullshit. A record setting team adds a top 5 player in the league. I don't love his fit there, but having 4 top 25 players on one team is crazy talk even if it is for one year. I'm curious to see his contract numbers and how much they're going to kill their team depth.
I have always liked Durant, but this is the ultimate sell out move. You were 3 mins from besting that team who didn't even win the finals. They were getting worse this offseason, or at least stalemating, while OKC got better. Durant wants to ride the coat tails rather than carry the team I guess.

Not for a one year rental. Westbrook has to commit to us long term for me to even consider it. I don't want to lose 3 good players for a rental and we can't beat GS next year anyway.

Stern blocked the CP3 trade to Lakers, does Silver have any grounds to block this move (say for anticompetive reasons)?

I don't love the fit but there is no denying how good that starting 5 will be with curry, Klay, Durant, and green. You simply cannot guard 3 of the best 3pt shooters at the same time, especially when tgey all can get a shot off whenever and wherever they want.

I would think they will push to lock Westbrook up now if possible.
