You aren't a coward just because you leave your team to join the team that beat you. He took a once in a lifetime opportunity with the way the Warriors cap is setup combined with the cap jump to join 3 other great players. That doesn't make the man a coward. This is basketball people. Get over it and stop attacking athletes. That's worse for the game than Durant going to OKC.
An NBA player disagrees with you... :)

Yeah, so what? Even Smith is saying KD will be killed for this. So why are you bitching?
- Durant gave Seattle/OKC 9 years. It's not like he abandoned ship or demanded to be traded after 4 or 5 years. There is a reason it's called free agency. These players are free to choose.
- Golden State now has three of the most lethal shooters in the history of the game. The Green-Iggy-Durant-Klay-Curry lineup is the new lineup of death.
- You are talking about the greatest regular season team in history going from Harrison Barnes to Kevin Durant at SF. Unreal!
- All of that being said, I now dislike Golden State, their swarmy fans, and arrogant ownership even more. I hope they go down in flames!!!

There is nothing worse for basketball than Durant going to GSW. These guys make 20 mil plus because we watch them and enjoy the game. We can say whatever we feel. Basketball loses its appeal when its not as competitive at the top. Just skip the season/playoffs until the Finals. I was always rooting for OKC, now it's back to supporting the Spurs greatness and backing the Cavs in hopes they can take down Goliath again.
You think it's worse for basketball but it's not. The Warriors already destroyed everyone this year and this was one of the greatest regular seasons of all time to be an NBA fan with their chase for both records. Parity isn't good for the NBA. If everyone went .500 which is the ultimate goal of parity it would be the worst sport in the world to watch. The NBA is gonna come out on top at the end of this because everyone is gonna want to watch them every game to see if anyone can beat them.
One of the biggest reasons it was that great? The fact they had tougher match ups including their OKC comeback. Now they don't have that match up and leaves the Spurs as the only other competitor..

Because you guys are calling him a coward for making a decision that took a lot of courage to make which happens to be the opposite of a coward. You're all butt-hurt just because a great player joined an already great team. Get over it and stop being whiny bitches with your doom apocalypse for the league predictions.
I will say that khans2k5 is correct that KD to Golden State could make for an even more interesting regular season next year as so many people will want to see this new juggernaut either succeed for fail...

I'm disappointed in him deciding to leave, but way more so with his destination. The Superteam era continues. I previously liked the Warriors because like OKC they built their team through young assets including draft picks.

Courage is a pretty strong word to use for a guy about to make 27 million on a ready made championship caliber team.
