Once again, TEN MILLIONS DOLLARS IS A LOT OF MONEY!!!!!!!!!! FOR DOING ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it is such little money, pay him $11m to play video games with you.

What is your plan for the Heat having $52m locked up in 5 players, and half of that on Bosh, WHO IS NOT CLEARED TO PLAY!!!! Is you Avatar a selfie?

I hate this argument. Joe Johnson just got 11 million, but Wade should settle for 10 because Joe the plumber makes 60K a year so Wade should be happy with 10 million. That's bullshit. Riley should be giving Wade the Kobe treatment with what he's done for that franchise and he's lowballing him. Everyone's getting paid except for the greatest player in Heat franchise history who helped them win 3 titles. He deserves more and should ask for more without getting shit from guys like you because his business allows him to get more than that and his GM is a human pile of garbage.

Ok, a few things.
1. I never said Wade should be "happy" with anything. This is about a guy or guys who live in a place where the outside is habitable about 150 days a year wasting it complaining for somebody who is having an awesome life.
2. Want to know what argument I hate? "Everybody is doing it". Most of us outgrow it at 15, but some need more time.
3. EVEN IF you don't like that argument, how about the one I like to call "THE MATH". Tell me how they pay Wade whatever he wants, pay Bosh $23m to make commercials about medicine, Whiteside $19m, and still have money left over to field a COMPETITIVE team. You can't possibly comprehend Miami. Imagine being able to go to the beach FOR FREE everyday there isn't a hurricane. Then along comes basketball team X saying "Hey, I know we're average, and I know we're expensive, but leave that free beautiful beach and come on over. Now." How's that working out?
4. "A HUMAN PILE OF GARBAGE" for offering a guy less than what YOU think he's worth?!?!?!? Go eff yourself.
5. I don't care what he gets or doesn't get. ALL I EVER SAID WAS IS THAT HE IS NOT NOR HAS EVER BEEN SCREWED. I am an adult and I know screwed, and when you become one you will too.
6. If Chicago or Denver signed him for what he wants, does that mean he's SCREWED for having to move there? Why don't you grow a pair and go tell the people who live in those areas that they are screwed as well. I'm sure all those Broncos/Cubs/Bulls/Blackhawks fans would love to hear from some Junior High kid from Columbia Heights.

crazysauce wrote:Yeah i agree with khans. If u want to get into arguing about 10 million being a lot of money your arguing the wrong thing. These athletes all make more money then u could dream about. That doesnt mean you cant screw someone over. The guy is miami heat basketball and is still very good. You dont do a guy like that. The avatar is my son, but you sir are a bold man. U must be the smartest man in this room. And your maturity level is through the roof. If only i could be as great as you old wise one. God forbid someone disagree with you and hurt your poor little feelings.

This started when I disagreed with YOU. And why don't you stop taking shots and make an argument about someone else's money that rises to anything near cogent. That math is the math, no matter what you think amounts to being "screwed". Or, wait, here's something easier: Explain why you care or why I should.

Big names aren't gonna want any part of Miami if he's gonna manage the team and treat players that won him multiple championships like that.

So he was wrong about that. And didn't he tell him that after he had already signed CLE? And how many guys are going to REFUSE to go to Miami because he was wrong? And why does Wade want to stay with such a "BridgeBurner"? Why is Durant meeting with such a BridgeBurner? Will anybody ever sign there again? Will guys start retiring rather than go to Miami as long as Riley is there?

Maybe Wade wants to stay there because he's spent his whole fucking career there and doesn't want to have to leave because he's getting offered half of what he can get from someone else when there's plenty of cap space to give him what he deserves to end his career there. Dragic/Wade/Bosh/Whiteside is already competitive. They don't need Durant to be competitive. They need Bosh to get back healthy and they are fine. Dragic/Wade/Winslow/Bosh/Whiteside is a stacked team and instead his GM is going after a pipe dream 1% chance of happening situation with Durant while pissing off his franchise player and low balling him. And yes it is a low ball offer to offer someone half what they can get on the open market when you know that's the case. How's that Durant meeting gonna go without Wade? Why would Durant want to join that situation? All the while Riley could be lying to players about the status of Bosh which is up in the air yet they magically know Bosh is gonna be fine and playing next year after they were the ones who held him out of the playoffs. So we got scorned lover, low baller to the greatest player in franchise history and possible huge liar while pitching to bring in be players on his resume as GM. Ya, let's argue for that guy.

How do you know what they are telling guys about Bosh? And do you think anyone would buy that? They sat him out in the playoffs so he would be available during the regular season?

I decided that I'm upset at how the Heat are getting screwed by Wade.

According to ESPN's Mike Wallace:

"Pat Riley's pitch to Miami Heat free-agent targets will include an optimistic view of Chris Bosh's potential return to the court next season and the long-term stability of coach Erik Spoelstra, league sources have told ESPN.com.

Bosh is making progress in his recovery from recurring blood clots that have cut short each of his past two seasons, according to a source with knowledge of Bosh's condition. Both Bosh and the Heat continue to work toward the goal of having the perennial All-Star power forward available for the start of training camp, sources said."

Optimistic indeed.

I don't think anyone is buying it. He makes commercials for the medication (which I would be furious about if I was running the Heat). And look at the commercials. A 90 year old golfer. A Nascar driver. A standup comedian. And a guy who is allegedly ready to play 110 NBA games at a high level. One of these things is not like the others.

This thread is funny... And sad.

I don't know the particulars, but if Miami really did offer only $10M... I can't imagine any other 3-time champ who's been in the league with one team as long as Wade who was a 21/6/4 guy in the playoffs after a good season who would be happy with that offer... Considering what's happening around the league.

Miami can off him the vet minimum if they want... But the lowball offers seem odd.
