As others have said Lance brings some toughness and some edge. IF he stuck around this season it would make sense having him play with the bench kinda like Lavine was doing. The guy actually has skill and can pass the ball as well. Let's be honest with lavine out they don't really have anyone on the bench that's a SG. Lance can play a bunch of positions. I'm hoping he comes hungry plays his butt off and shows something not only as a player but like others have said to some of the other players on the roster.

One thing about him... he pounds the ball and will do nothing to help the giant hole with three point shooting.

The Wolves are about to fall off the cliff in that area and reach Saunders/Mitchell levels very soon.

I'm largely in favor...he'll add some entertainment at least, if not wins. And we know he's ready, because the dude was Born Ready!

Can't shoot the three (Thibs needs to bitch slap him if he tries any), but he'll score efficiently inside the arc and play the kind of defense Thibs likes. Let's see what he can do.

It doesn't seem like Lance is a lost cause from behind the 3 point line to me based on some of the seasons he has had including last year.

He just doesn't take too many of them.

So I don't see why that would suddenly change at this point, especially while playing for a team that doesn't cherish the shot as much as most other teams.

Yeah good point I agree with you on volume. That's where losing Lavine really hurts this team the 3 point shot. He can hit them at a good clip. He can shoot them anytime and he takes a bunch of them. The likely ways the Wolves replace that as much as they can is Rush playing minutes and Belly (takes a bunch 5.7 per 36 minutes) needs to start hitting his 3's at a reasonably decent rate which isn't exactly a massive stretch. Overall 3 point volume shooting is a real concern for this team now. In some ways it's amazing that they were in that game last night at all considering the 3 point disparity.

I remember WW being a big proponent of Lance back in his early years. Athough he did acknowledge the head case problems...

I'm doing a bit of reading about about Lance the last couple of years. It's interesting that 2 of the coaches he has played for the last couple year Clifford and Doc are guys Thibs is pretty close to. I wonder if he talked to them about him at any point this year.

I'd be interested in Clifford's comments.

Because Stephenson was a dog after signing his big deal in Charlotte. He sucked. So they dumped him for Matt Barnes.

Check this out... Indiana offered him 5 years for $44M. Stephenson chose 3 years and $27M instead, citing the number of years as the sticking point. He was betting on himself. oh oh.

Instead of collecting another $17M the next two seasons... he's bouncing around searching for 10-day contracts at the minimum. At the very least, he should liven things up around First Avenue if nothing else.
