Wolves vs Raptors GDT: The Lance Stephenson Redemption Story
Re: Wolves vs Raptors GDT: The Lance Stephenson Redemption Story
Wiggins just keeps improving. KAT too, the sky is the limit for these two. Love how Wiggins was not going to let that 3 get even close at the end of the game. Great win.

Wig's handle is really improving. He actually looked comfortable with the ball in the 4th quarter. Good to see.

I missed the game. The article in the Startribune made it sound like Lance Stephenson was a big part of the reason. Honestly I love it if he is. I am glad Tyus got some big minutes. So was it Jones,Wiggins, Stephenson, Dieng, Towns down the stretch?

Lance brought some energy, but I'm not sure how much of it was a honeymoon effect. We'll see how things go. The only shots he took were long 2's off the dribble - just a terrible shot and one opposing defenses love for us to take. He did look engaged on defense. As long as he does the "little things", hustles, moves the ball, and avoids pounding it into the ground and taking 20-footers, he could be OK.

I hear you about the inefficiency of that shot. For his career... he takes 36% of his shots from within 3 feet (and 49% within 10 feet) of the hoop. By comparison...
Wiggins - 27 / 40
Muhammad - 32 / 58
Dieng - 34 / 52
Towns - 38 / 63

So you're saying he's the power forward we've been looking for? Great stats Abe, we need to get to the rack.

How he scores is probably fairly similar to Muhammad in some ways. But he's a better passer obviously... even if it comes after 73 dribbles.
[Note: My math was off with Muhammad. See the correction above. He shoots a higher % from within 10 feet.]

He is our wing version of Jeff Adrian. Now we need PF verison.
Honestly I am not to worried if he pounds the rock, gets assists, defends, and picks up a good number of rebounds. Just hope he doesn't take a lot of long 2's.

Yeah, my observations were based purely on what I saw last night. We'll see how things progress....there is a reason a guy in his prime playing years was desperately trying to land a job in the NBA: His track record is far less than stellar.

Oh. I agree. As I mentioned yesterday... he went from a lucrative bidding war for his services... to a 10-day contract within 3 years.
All before his 27th birthday.
