Eh, sometimes someone as intense as KG can be too much of a good thing. If what LST said about him last season is true (essentially wearing thin with the guys except for KAT), then I'm pretty OK with this.
Our young guys all had a full dose of the KG Magic Mentoring Potion ©. We don't want them to overdose now do we!?

It will be interesting to see what KG does the next few months. Right now he is retired. He loves basketball and wouldn't it be fun to hang out and practice and share some knowledge with some teams where you have people you know really well etc? Yeah it's a bit weird all things considered but hey really I don't have a problem with it. Have fun man you are free to do what you want.

I'm more than okay with this. Confirms what we have been hearing...that KG not returning has little to do with his readiness, and far more to do with the Wolves not wanting him back in any capacity. Sounds like a nice resolution for all parties (except Glen, who has to eat the entire $8 million)

I wouldn't be surprised if KG unretires for a playoff push with the LAC later in the season.

Probably with Allen and Paul Pierce. I am not at all confident in Doc as a GM. Seems like a great character motivator but I question everything else about the guy.

He has added a few guys to the front office this offseason so it will be interesting to see how that plays out but I get the feeling he wanted to get more people doing that work to assist him but I don't have any insider info. He has made some players look good that they added and that's something.

I was among those who consistently ripped the KG as Mentor PR Push... but... to play Devil's Advocate...
Is that (in bold) a precursor to problems down the line. I've recently listened to two lesser known Celtics do nothing but praise Garnett for his loyalty and teamwork and unselfishness and for teaching them how to be professionals. Both Brian Scalabrine and Kendrick Perkins acknowledged Garnett's propensity to be tough on guys unwilling to do the work, unwilling to learn from others and unwilling to realize they hadn't really accomplished anything in L yet.
Building on that... the one guy on the Wolves that sure seems to "get it" based on on-court play and off-the-court praise is Towns. And he and Garnett got along? But the other players all chafed at Garnett's intensity?
I know, I know... a lot of conjecture. A lot of probably irrelevant fluff... but it wouldn't be the worst thing if the young guys embraced a lot of Garnett's intensity. (sans the theatrical antics and woofing.)
