WNBA Finals Sparks vs Lynx Game 5 thread

Post by Monster »

I am trying out a free trial for Sling TV so I can watch the game at home. It flickers every once in a while. I would blame my internet but we don't have that happen with other services. Other than that it seems pretty good. I may end up subscribing a couple times over the next year especially around NCAA tournament time.

Anyway I am excited to watch this game.

It's gonna be a good one, monster. Wish I could be down at the X for this one, but I have a conference call from 8-10 tonight, so I'm stuck at home. I'll have the TV on without the sound on though, bouncing between this game and the NLCS Game 5. Great night for sports. Go Lynx! Go Cubs!

It's been an entertaining game so far. It does seem like the Target center has some nice renovations but maybe it's also a nice crowd excited that helps too.

Maya Moore is just so fun to watch.

I didn't even notice until you mentioned it that the series has moved back to Target Center, monster. That's good...it felt a little odd at the X.

Yeah, Maya is something special. I sometimes take issue with her shot selection, but that's a minor criticism...she's got a complete game.

Very close up to this point. There's no question these are the two best teams in the league, and LA is not going down easy. Incredible that all Lynx starters other than Maya are 33 or older.

The Sparks must be pretty good defensively forcing all these turnovers against the Lynx in this series.

This series is night and day different from the previous series against the Mercury...they were terrible on defense, and the Lynx weren't very good either. Not so in this series...both teams are playing really tough defense. She doesn't get the headlines, but Brunson is my favorite Lynx player. So gritty on the boards and defense, and money on that mid-range jumper when they leave her alone.

I like Brunson a lot too and have for years.

Maya is doing everything.

You have to wonder if all these fouls on the Sparks are going to hurt them. If they end up taking a bit of their edge on D that's significant also.

Yeah, I'm hoping the fouls will be the difference.

My gal just texted me and said the atmosphere is remindful of '93 against Sac-town. I'm not picking it up on the TV, but she says it's deafening there!

My Sling TV is buffering and has for a minute or 2. Whew finally got it going again missing a few seconds of the half.
