I see wiggins having a big year next year. Year 3 is typically the year a player on his rookie deal is poised to get an extention and I see wig being motivated next season to secure a max deal extension after the season.
I see 4 areas where wig will be much better next season.

1. Rebounding
2. Defense
3. Body/conditioning/strength
4. 3pt shooting

Thibs will demand the first 2 out of him if he hasn't already. We all agree that wig needs to improve his body and conditioning and adding a reliable 3pt shooting is the next step in his development an elite scorer. He already draw fouls, attacks the basket and finishes at a high level. We see him increasing his 3pt attempts in his 2nd year and actually making them at a decent rate will make him much harder to defend.

That's too bad for team Canada. I like seeing guys compete for their country but I am also selfish I think in some cases it's good to have guys not do these other tourneys. Team Canada could be a heck of a team in a couple years.

He's still eligible to play for their Olympic team if Canada qualifies. Think he made the right decision. This upcoming season is a big one and he's going to be asked -- demanded -- to be better on both ends of the floor, but especially defensively. Better to come in to camp as fresh as he can be without the extra minutes on his body from national play.

Bad news for team Canada, but great news for the Wolves. Perhaps this is part of the Thibs effect. In any event, it's a great sign of how serious Wiggins takes his game and his role on the team. I'm excited about what we might see from Andrew entering his third season after devoting his summer to working on his game and then playing under a great head coach.
