Re: Kevin Love, Andrew Wiggins and the decisions that shaped these NBA Finals
More on Love... amid rumors that he'll be out in Cleveland and analysis about his ultimate value...
"In an ideal scenario, Love needs a more offensive-minded version of Chandler, a guy who can command a double-team and collapse interior defenses like his former teammate Nikola Pekovic, while still being able to step out on the perimeter and give Love room to operate in the post.
In other words, Love needs a unicorn. A unicorn like Karl-Anthony Towns.
The irony of his situation is that after failing to successfully build around him in the first six years of his career, the Wolves now have Love's ideal frontcourt partner in this season's rookie of the year. Towns could've covered for Love on defense as the pair formed the most versatile offensive frontcourt duo in the NBA."
Irony, indeed. I think.
[Note: There's also a long article about the impact of sleep that talks up Arnie Kander quite a bit...]

I was thinking a lot last year that Love would be a great 4 on this squad. It is quite ironic but this is really the perfect spot for him. He doesn't strike me as the swallow his pride type though.

If there was a way to get him back, I'd be for it. His perceived value may never be lower, which is funny because he's still one of the best PF's in basketball.

I think he'll go to Portland if/when he leaves Cleveland. Go home, they could use him. Would be a good match I think.

Kevin Love has been informed that he will not be medically cleared to play in Wednesday night's Game 3, ESPN has learned

I found the article both good and annoying. It was way to simple just plugging in this guy or that guy. In particular I think it gave Wiggins too much going credit while basically making Love out to be something somewhat better than just another guy. The Cavs problems extend well beyond Love and as the author points out GS is terrific and nobody saw this coming.
Abe thanks for reminding me about the sleep article. I just read it and found it pretty interesting.

What does it take to get Love? #5, Bazz and Gorgui? what's he worth to other teams? I'd love to see him back with the retooled pups...

The thing is that Cleveland won't want draft picks. And Bazz and Dieng aren't helping them win a title any more than Love did. Bring in a 3rd team with an established player that's a better fit for Cleveland to win NOW and you may be on to something...

Yep a third team needs to be involved, maybe the 3 pieces to Knicks, love to the wolves and Melo to the cavs. Not sure the Knicks do it though

Just an idea, and it's fully dependent on how far Love's value around the league has fallen.
MIN: PF Kevin Love
CLE: SG/SF Khris Middleton, PG Michael Carter Williams
MIL: PG Ricky Rubio, Kevin Garnett's 8.5M expiring
