But here's the catch: Perhaps LeBron would be willing to take on full-time PG duties and totally defer to Irving and 'Melo as the top two scoring options. Defensively, LeBron and Melo are nearly interchangeable, both accustomed to playing either forward position and having the size/strength to rebound like most PFs.

Carmelo to Cleveland is an interesting idea, whether Minnesota is involved or not.

Jalen Rose said the other day Lebron's best position is PF. So the Cavs trade Love for a PF/SF hybrid that dos alot of what Lebron is good at in Melo? Lebron just playing PG role seems like a disaster waiting to happen (hyperbole). When the series turned is when Lebron started being aggressive offensively and he and Kyrie went bonkers on GS. I don't know if I by Lebron playing as the PG on a team is the way to go anymore. Im not suggesting he goes full bore get the hell out of my way and score (we know he doesn't want to do that anyway) but I don't think you want to put Lebron in a scenario were its too easy for him to be passive. For pete's sake the Cavs should have used Love more in isolation than they did. I don't see it being better Love still has the theoretical game to be a complimentary player. Melo? I defend the guy quite a bit actually but that not really his game.

Yes. LeBron finishing his career as a PF has been in the works for awhile now. He's one of the biggest physical freaks we've ever seen. He's been priming his body for a 20 year career since the turn of the century. But he has A LOT of miles on that body right now.

He has the size and strength to move inside a bit more and continue to dominate from there. Heck, he's already doing that more and more.

Consider him and Blake Griffin. There are similarities there.

I'll add because I forgot that Rose's point was Lebron has been playing PF and that's where he played when he won in Miami.

Can you guys believe the rhetoric about Lebron leaving Cleveland already? Stephen asshole Smith thinks he might go to the Lakers. I've heard multiple radio hosts talk about him going elsewhere. Personally, I can't believe he would do that to Cleveland again, at least not right now. Am I crazy?

Lebron ain't leaving Cleveland. Anyone suggesting anything else is at least as dumb as SAS which those 3 letters should become nearly synonymous with stupidity of the highest level.

No. He's not leaving any time soon. Eventually, for the last couple years of his career? Maybe. But why would he leave now? If anything, he'll bring in the guys he wants.

He's a global brand. He can do that from Cleveland with (1) titles and (2) the hometown story angle.

Simmons tweeted that as well, the LA rumors. These media guys won't be satisfied until every good player is in NY or LA.

It's ALMOST like some of these guys have shows/businesses in LA and could benefit personally from James playing there.

ahem.

There's nothing keeping him in Cleveland now and his buddies aren't going to want to join him in Cleveland. I don't think he'll leave this summer, but it wouldn't be crazy if he left after next year to join up with his buddies. CP3's deal is up after next year. D Wade is a free agent this summer and might do another short deal with Miami. You look at a team like LA and they have the assets to trade for Melo and they have the cap space to sign Lebron, CP3 and D Wade. There aren't many teams that will be able to do that. The Lakers have 12 million on their payroll for the summer 17/18 not including their #2 pick and their team options on their recent draft picks. They could pull it off if Lebron wanted to.

LeBron is smart enough to stay in the east.
