Not so well...the Bears are unbelievably horrible (and yet still an early 4 point favorite over our 'queens!). But I'm not so sure Allen is a Bear now because he wanted to play for a contender. I think Spielman recognized he was way past his prime, and didn't want to pay him. And thank god...we're much better off with Everson. I think Jared took the best deal available to him, and it hasn't turned out too good.

^^^ No doubt he took the money but that didn't stop him from claiming it was about winning. Hell, had he admitted it was the best deal he was offered so he took it there would be nothing to make fun of him for. And yes, the Vike's youth show it was absolutely the correct move!

Yeah, I hear your point, sp...I just have a difficult time ripping Allen, because he always seemed like a pretty good guy. He was a 1-trick pony though...it was always about sacks and nothing else. I was at the Redskins game with a couple friends, and after Everson Griffin made a couple nice plays against the run, one of my friends (not an Allen fan) asked if it was within the NFL rules for a defensive end to tackle a running back. So true...Jared never cared too much about stopping the run.

Don't get me wrong, he's a good guy and I wish him nothing but the best other than those two games a year against the Vikes. I just get bored with the cliches especially when its so obvious to everyone with half a brain they were just empty words. As for playing the run, he was actually really good his first three years or so, towards the end he became very single minded though.
Cliffs: Sign with a division rival and claim it wasn't about the money and I'm gonna ride ya! Sign with a division rival and don't claim it wasn't about the money and I'll ride ya some. Sign with any team outside the division and I'll probably forget your name within a week!!
