I forgot about Iverson stepping over Lue in the 2001 finals...I wonder if Lue flashed back to that moment when LeBron channeled it! It looks like LeBron is getting the worst of the internet discussion about the play, and also some criticism for not stepping up enough for his team. I'm going to defend James on this one. He went 25, 13 and 9, and was by far the Cavs' best defender all night. I'm going to cut him some slack about both the stepover and his contributions...he's obviously frustrated realizing the Big 3 he helped assemble just isn't good enough to play with the 4 best teams in the West.

I'm sure most of us aren't expecting a very competitive Game 5 in Oakland.

I hate being too critical of Lebron the player. He is truly a great player no matter where you rank him he is clearly one of the best players ever to play the game.

I've never been a Lebron fan. I respect his game he is a terrific player but for some reason I've never felt a connection to his game. I think what bugged me about as much as anything was when he was playing physical D on Curry there late and Curry was going to the ref talking to him about it. I don't know what Curry said but he seemed to have a amused look on his face complaining but in a sort of jovial manner and then Lebron got all out of whack. I get it Lebron had to be really frustrated the guy is a competitor and things aren't looking good against the Warriors despite a very talented Cavs team led by Lebron. However Lebron complains about as much as anyone (some of it completely legit) so for him to get all pissy about Curry making a legit complaint the way he was idk it seemed kinda lame but oh well. It's not what In gonna remember Lebron by 10-20 years from now.

Remember, this is a guy basically proclaimed "the king" at 17 years old. Few players in NBA history have had as much clout as him on multiple basketball teams. Even fewer have had as much clout with the media (3 guys hired by ESPN just to write about James and the Heat!).

A sense of entitlement almost seems like a prerequisite with many of today's athletes.

So it's not exactly a surprise that a guy like James who's been coddled for the vast majority of his life feels pretty damn entitled by it.


[Note: As for the other stuff. Yes. He's obviously one of the best players ever. No doubt. But I've never been able to embrace him. Whether it was the absurd power/athleticism I just didn't relate to or the sense of entitlement or the feeling of manufactured behind-the-scenes narratives from his camp... I pretty much always prefer that his teams lose.]

Iggy starting for Green and Love back in the starting lineup. I think that can benefit the Cavs if they utilize Love as a true big. Kerr said if tye Warriors lacked an edge they don't now. Should be an interesting game.

GS coming out with a lot of emotion, but they are really going to miss Green. I agree, monster, this will be interesting...not sure how it's going to go.

I do know that this is the kind of game that Love generally folds in...a fired-up opponent in front of a hostile crowd. But as Robson just tweeted, Lue can hide him on defense as long as Bogut is in.

Really fun first quarter. James much more aggressive on offense and the Cavs' Big Three scored all 29 points. But the rest of the Cavs' team was scoreless on 4 shots.

I really have a soft spot for Livingston. That knee injury was so absolutely nasty that he had. Watching him just makes me wonder how good he could have been. I find myself really rooting for the kid.
