I Want to See KG
Based on his inability to play for the last couple months, I'm assuming this is his last year playing. And he is the greatest player in franchise history (so far). So this is a big goodbye.
We've only got 8 games left. If he could give us a few minutes without hurting himself, I'd like to see KG play a few last games, even if it's just a couple minutes each game.
This year has been all about the future, and rightfully so. But this might be our last chance to say goodbye to a guy who has--despite occasionally being a jerk in the past--been the best player and most intense competitor in our history.
If they can't do it on the court, they should find a way to do it off the court somehow. Either way, that guy deserves a long standing ovation.

Why wouldn't he come back for another $8+M.
It's not like the team will ever pressure him into actually playing or anything...

I'm hearing he wants to be part of things next year as a player. I think he sees the playoffs next year and wants to be part of it.

Bingo. I hope he retires, but KG's not a dummy. He'll gladly gobble up that $8M without having to play half of the season at more than 15 MPG. That's easy money. Oh, and why not stay around and get unnecessary credit for "mentoring" the young guys and changing the franchise's fortune? Sounds like a winning situation to me.
Re: I Want to See KG
I really hope he retires and don't take up a spot on the roster and mandatory 13mins a game whenever he decides to play. But like cam and Abe, I expect him to collect 8m next year for being a part time player.
I respect kg for all he has done to the franchise but I think it's time to call it a career if you can't be counted on to play every game and more than 13 min a game.
Ideally, he play the last 5 games of the season as a backup and then retire. But I don't see that happening.

My big thing with KG is that none of us know what is wrong with his knees. Is he so hurt that he wouldn't be able to play if the wolves were in the playoff race or us he flat out done. I know 8mil is over priced but when he played he was a net positive this year. Just wish we had the full story in those knees

My hunch is that KG isn't playing because he doesn't want to come off the bench and it was time for Gorgui to show what he can do. He'll be back next year to a farewell tour ala Kobe

I think we have enough anecdotal evidence to realize it's not in the Wolves best interests to have Garnett on the court.
Re: I Want to See KG
At least the guy is actually doing something while not playing talking guys up looking like a positive influence. That doesn't make up for him getting paid a lot of money and not playing but at least he isn't JUST sitting back taking paychecks from Glen. I want him to retire but I agree either he others I doubt he does.

I'd rather have him on the court with the second unit than the other stiffs on this team.
