I don't think so, which is encouraging. But does is it simply a prolonged hot streak or a new normal? We all want it to be a new normal, but I'm not quite there yet. I am hopeful that he ends up somewhere between his old normal and this recent hot streak. That'd be good enough for me.

On the season (not just during this hot streak), he's got career highs in 2-pt% and FT%. To be more precise, he's hit a career high on long 2's, which is 16 feet out to the arc and at the rim. It's actually not a career high from 3. As a rookie he knocked down 34% of his 3's.

But if you add it all up, his TS% is easily a career high and now at nearly 54%. His previous career high was 49%, That is a huge improvement.

I think some of this can be attributed to staying healthy for a prolonged stretch of time. We tend to forget that a lot of the games he's played throughout his career were coming off of major injury or when he was trying to gimp through things.

All of our starters were + for the game. The reason we lost by 12, is all our bench players were -10 or worse. We are in an enviable position to improve our roster this offseason. Rather than try to add stars, we just need to find serviceable backup players. One should come with our first pick and hopefully we add a couple free agents that are better than our current backups. I'm also hopeful that Tyus and Bjelica will improve in their second NBA seasons.

Not a surprising loss after coming off an epic double-OT win last night on the road. Still, our starters outplayed their starters for a good portion of the game.

I'm debating if patience is in order with this bench or if it's a desperate situation requiring some serious maneuvering this off season.

Bjelica and Jones are rookies. Greg Smith is a D-League call-up. And Shabazz is playing the worst basketball of his young career right now. While I don't hold out much hope for Smith, it seems like there are valid reasons to be patient with the other three guys.

I am most hopeful to this point. His shooting percentage by quarter (earlier in the season at least) indicated that his stamina was lacking as it went down quarter by quarter. Now that he is healthy and has a good deal of momentum, his reported hard work seems to be paying off. A full offseason to hopefully strengthen his lower body could be just what he needs to have staying power at a respectable percentage.

Jim Pete and others have been gushing about LaVine playing at SG. So what was all that crap we put up with pre All Star break with Zach only playing backup PG minutes? And Smitch's declaration in the preseason that Zach's path to success in the league is as a PG, not a SG?

Isn't it kind of akin to Rambis bringing Love off the bench for so long? And we all know what happened to Rambis...

Well this wasn't a great game to watch but it wasn't embarrassing so that's a good thing. The Wolves and the Jazz could t get going and then the Jazz found themselves and the Wolves couldn't late
