I caught that live and they highlighted it in today's Strib. It was a pretty bold thing to say - lol. But he's not wrong. Still - it's understandable for young guys to feel pretty proud of themselves immediately after that win. That was our Championship/Finals game for this year. Drink it in boys!

Well, first off, Andrew isn't very comfortable to begin with when it comes to the media. We all know that he's more of an introvert and doesn't like the spotlight, which I actually like about the guy - I think he and KAT complement each other very well in this regard. But I think what Andrew meant with his playoffs comment is that eventually this is a team they are going to need to be able to beat when the Wolves get to the playoffs. That makes perfect sense to me, although he didn't say it very eloquently.

Also, the "any given night" comment is actually true. The Wolves have had numerous signature wins against top notch teams - @Atlanta, @Clippers, @Golden State, etc. They just have crapped the bed too often against poor and mediocre teams. Hopefully as Andrew and the rest of the team matures, they realize they need to bring it against the not-so-sexy teams and matchups. All in due course hopefully.

I agree, Q. I am confident Andrew's interview skills will improve greatly with time. Just think back to some of those early KG interviews!

I don't get what was wrong with what he said. WTF was he supposed to say? "We are young and got lucky I can't believe we won we only have 26 wins!" Everything he said was true and right on and quite frankly I thoughtcliche for the situation. This combined with Marv sounding like he was disappointed when Towns scored that bucket late in the game he should be the one embarrassed. Overall none of its a big deal but it's still annoying.

It was sort of a dick comment by Marv. But hey - it's coming from a guy who got caught wearing women's panties and biting some random chick. I'm not going to dwell on it. As others have said - Wiggins post game comments will improve as he memorizes the acceptable Bull Durham quotes.

I think Marv misinterpreted what Wiggins said and was just following up the joking that Webber was doing. This is not a story. In all fairness Wiggins was not as eloquent as he could have been in his interview. A direct quote would have implied that Wiggins said we are going to the playoffs.

Yeah Webber didn't help matters much. And the thing with Andrew is, he IS an introvert. He had just played over 40 minutes of an overtime game. The last thing he wanted to do was stand there and answer questions. Some players can do that without a problem, but it's not a strength of Andrew's.

The Marv comment was a misunderstanding. He obviously doesn't know Wiggins' unassuming attitude and speaking difficulties so he misinterpreted what Wiggins said literally to imply they thought they'd make the playoffs this year.

I think most of us actually wish Wiggins were a little MORE confident and assertive. He's not going to win any public speaking awards, but that kind of endears him to me.

In the game as a whole, Marv and Chris were both extremely positive about the Wolves in their comments actually.
