I was gonna start a GDT with something to the effect of "Why bother watching - Wolves at Warriors GDT", and then go to bed. Instead, I just went to bed...

Don't feel bad, I actually turned the game off in the 3rd quarter as the Warriors pulled ahead again. I just couldn't bring myself to watch them get steamrolled by both the Warriors and Refs. Oh well, that's what a dozen crappy years will do to your ability to endure misery.

The question is why did Shabazz have a good game. Did you use him differently?

Shabazz played the 4 in the 4th. He played relatively good D against Draymond and made him work on the other side. Bazz's versatility and unique physical characteristics make him an asset. Would have been nice if Sam was a bit more creative for most of the year, but it was great to see him breakout last night.

OR... it just gave them an excuse to go to the monitors and reverse a close call that went against a team on the verge of NBA history instead of a team staring at 55 losses. Either way...

I was watching live and that is what I thought happened....it was a crowd pleasing reversal. But then I think they did make an attempt at a make up call in favor of the Wolves a bit later - but I don't recall specifically. I think that stuff does happen.

The same female ref who called the block on Curry called a travel on Green the next possession. I assume she got overturned by the other senior refs and made the call up to us on the next possession. Either way it was horseshit.

Bazz worked on defense in the 4th because we switched everything and they didn't get the ball in the post much to take advantage of it. Draymond kept trying to bully everyone but it was causing turnovers because he was overdoing it instead of just sealing good position. You could tell though several times guys got lost on the switches and they got some easy buckets off cuts.

I think early in the 4th yes there were a lot of blown coverages, but at the end of the quarter and overtime they were getting stops. It was a good team effort. Plus making Green work on D was helpful, it was just a good matchup. I was happy Sam recognized it.

It's still early in his career, but I'm getting more and more comfortable with Wiggins handling the rock in crunch time. I will question his motor, and I think it's a legitimate concern sometimes, but when it's crucial possessions, I have faith in him. He's made a lot of big time buckets. I realize we're not winning a lot, but he's had plenty of moments this season where he's answered the call. For instance, that spin move last night to tie the game late in the 4th with Iggy guarding him. Superstar caliber play. Then there was the play in OT where Towns came to set a screen for Wiggins, but the Warriors trapped Wiggins and he got rid of the ball quickly to Towns who then ball faked Thompson out of his shoes and finished over Curry for the and-one. Those two plays were "wow" quality in big moments. He's had those over the entire season.

Those two Towns drives were awesome. Just great heads up plays from a very talented guy.

Wiggins can get good shots. Whether or not they go in will remain to be seen, but if he can stay injury free I just don't see a scenario where he isn't a consistent contributor of a winning team. I think inconsistency is part of what is going on. Webber was great last night in his insight of Wiggins. He said great to do it against the stars. Next is learning to have the same focus against the average guys. I think this is something that a lot of great players who aren't trained assassins go through. Attitude wise, Webber might be an interesting comp for Wiggins. He was more introverted and received similar criticism on effort, so I really was listening to his opinion. I just think Wiggins talent is too significant to not figure out how to play consistently. I'd be shocked frankly.
