So now that the Pacers bought the last d-league franchise I wonder where the rest of the league goes from here. I mean they have a system in place of a team wants to assign a player to they'd-league but it isn't a great option. One article I read said a couple franchises without a d-league affiliate have agreements with other franchises to send their players there. I wonder if the Wolves have considered doing that. Tyus is a young player on the roster that could be assigned to get some game action and Lorenzo Brown could be a guy they could use designate to hold onto his rights sorta while he plays in the d-league.
Does anyone have thoughts on the d-league? I wish the Wolves would add a team pronto but I don't know what the logistic holdup could be for both Glen and even the league. I just can't wait for true minor league basketball to happen.
D-league
Re: D-league
A team that sells late first round picks regularly isn't going to invest in a D-leaque team. My guess is they'll sign an agreement with some other team or simply not use it.
Re: D-league
This would be exciting for me. I would go to a game here and there if there was a team in Omaha even if it wasn't the Wolves affiliate. I have been saying for a while a d-league team in Omaha would do well.
