Exactly, Rubio had surgery back in April! 6 months ago and he still isn't back. How people are still trying to say this is no big deal is beyond me.

He had surgery on his ankle which is healed (based on what I saw in 1st practice). He's been held out the last few games due to a quad strain. Different problem. Minor problem. There really is no need to panic. Honest. He's scheduled to play on Friday.

The quad isn't related to the ankle injury at all?

Last time I checked, the quad bone is not connected to the ankle bone. So, I think it's going to be ok.

Joke went over your head. Refer to "Dem Bones" song or 3rd grade biology book. Ricky's ankle is healed. The quad is new and minor injury, so to say "He hasn't healed in six months - OMG!" is just trolling IMO.

I might be less worried if we had any real info on his surgery, and what it entailed. As for the quad strain and it being preseason, this isn't a small issue. We need practice time so we aren't working out the kinks when the real games start. Does anyone remember Pek last season? He was atrocious, and all we heard was he will have to work himself back into shape.

How many seasons do we have to waste before we realize that all 82 games count?

As for Ricky's work ethic. What has he improved in four years in the league. He always has the time (health permitting) to play on the international team over the summer, but other than that, I see pics of him gallivanting around the globe with his buddies. You can improve your shot mechanics (particularly your arc) while sitting in a chair. An injured ankle or knee should not have stopped that.

bingo. but apparently your trolling for ripping on Rubio so your opinion is invalid. Try again next time!

It is getting sad. Rubio and Pek seemed to be the two players that were exceeding expectations not too long ago. Now both are becoming huge question marks because of health. Injuries suck but it does seem that there could be more commitment to rehab.

Let me see if I understand. If Rubio posts pictures hanging out with friends but not of him rehabbing then hanging with friends must be all he did this off-season? Is he expected to rehab 24/7? Maybe it's just me, but it seems like vacation pictures are the ones I would post.

I guess it's a good thing we only have 26 million/year invested Ricky/Pek.

Injuries happen. And not just to Rubio. Total games played the last two seasons:

109 - Bennett
108 - Budinger
107 - Martin
104 - Rubio
101 - Garnett
89 - Pekovic
75 - Bazz

If you're going to go after one guy as being "injury prone" then why not go after all of them? Rubio isn't even the worst offender. It's Bazz, Pek and KG.

Let me see if I can help you understand my point.

Has Rubio shown any improvement over his career with the wolves?

KG is 39. The fact that he can play at all in the NBA still at PF no less is crazy. Pek is 6'10 300lbs most of which is in his upper body so any lower body injury is going to be a real issue. We also have a replacement for Pek in Towns. Bazz is a bench player who simply isn't relied on nearly enough to complain about his injury history. Ricky is the piece that makes this team go. He's the foundation we've built our house of cards on. Both sides of the ball go to shit when he's not in the game. He's 25 about to enter his prime. We simply can't afford him to go down so when he goes down even for a couple pre-season games with a quad strain it's a big issue because of how much it sets back the rest of the team. Injuries to Ricky have the biggest negative effect on the team which is why he gets ripped the most for being injured so much. Ricky is the only core piece on that list and if he has 1 more year lost to injury he just has to be taken off our list of core players moving forward (that would be 3 years out of 5 lost to injury).
