So....nothing happened at least no deals for the Wolves.
So what happened with Martin? If he wasn't willing to give up that option for next year why would he do a buyout? I wonder if a deal like happened with Bud last year happens with Martin. He opts in and gets traded to another team for something random.
Belly hurt his foot. Hopefully it isn't bad. I'm guess Payne is gonna get more minutes.
Wolfson:
Milt said Tyus will get more minutes in near future. Anticipates Pek and KG playing again this year. He is baffled about Bjelica. #twolves

I really hope Sam plays an 8-man rotation down the stretch.
Rubio/LaVine/Wiggins/Dieng/Towns with Tyus/Shabazz/Belly or Payne.
I wonder if there is anything we do buyouts of Miller and Prince and bring in some d-leaguers to look at.

It sure seems a K-Mart buyout will be coming up soon. But I think Miller and Prince are here for the season, helping the youngin's mature.

I am wondering if Martin will give up much money.

I sure wish I had the time to find the thread from last year regarding trading Martin. I campaigned that the time to trade him was last year, saying his value was only going to drop. Most posters thought I was crazy, with the large sentiment being that his game was not going to age and that we just as easily trade him this year.
Yeah right.
Yeah right.

Good stuff. Thanks for posting. I wrote it earlier in the week and I'll type it again - not doing any deals is/was the best thing they could've done. Even dumping Kmart for some garbage back didn't make sense because it's better to just have the cap space vs. getting stuck with some crap contracts back. Let the next Coach/GM use that cap space in addition to the new cap limit to add a quality Free Agent that they want.
I think Milt has done alright by the Franchise as interim GM. He hasn't done anything great....but at least he hasn't screwed things up more which is all you really ask out of an interim. We have a young, affordable core. Let's add another top 10 pick, and a good Free Agent and I think we're almost there (along with coach - of course).

I honestly can't think of a thing he's done.

As I stated, not screwing things up is really all you ask out of an interim guy. He could have made some bad deals i.e. trading a young player or taking back bad contracts. Even Flip (RIP) made a mistake with the Payne deal last year. I'm sure most people would rather have that pick at this point than Payne.
Also, I think he's represented the Franchise well to the public/media (no David Khan "manna from heaven" quotes/embarrassments)

IMO you don't need to dig it up I remember it well enough. Lol It kinda sucks to be right sometimes. It will be interesting if Martin is willing to go the route of buyout. It sounds like there will be some fairly worthwhile players on the market soon.
