Latest Bazz Trade Rumors

Post by TeamRicky [enjin:6648771] »

Per RW citing Doogie: "The Celtics, Clippers, Blazers and Suns have all reached out to the Timberwolves to discuss the availability of Shabazz Muhammad."

We knew about the Clippers (along with Lakers and Nets) supposed interest in Bazz, but the Celtics, Blazers and Suns are new teams.

I'd love to do a deal with the Celtics: Bazz for a mid round first rounder and a player among Jordan Mickey, Kelly Olynyk or Ty Zeller.

The Suns have TJ Warren and Alex Len who I think are underappreciated in Phoenix. I'd definitely do Bazz for Warren or Bazz/Martin for Warren & Tyson Chandler. I'd stay away from Markieff though.

Bazz wouldn't bring back a first, but I'd have some interest in a Bazz/Olynyk swap.

Doogie just can't be relied on for info like this.

I wouldn't trade Shabazz unless it was a deal in our favor. Olynyk would work for me.

Their salaries are a close match and they were drafted two spots apart in the same draft. Perhaps, we can get Olynyk and our draft picks back that we owe them (likely two second rounders). Boston has more picks than they can use.

Wolfsen said the Clippers were interested in Payne a few weeks ago. I just don't trust what he says too much but if he says something it's worth mentioning though.

I don't think Milt will move Bazz unless its sole sort of no-brainier deal. Boston might move something worth considering I doubt the other teams will offer up something good enough to get Milt's attention.

To be honest with you, I think Olynyk has more value than Muhammad does. We'd be fortunate to get the one-for-one deal. I wouldn't care too much about second round picks in this scenario. We'd be getting the better basketball player while addressing some real needs (frontcourt depth, 3P shooting).

While I'd prefer Olynyk, there is speculation that the trade offer may be Zeller and a pick rather than Olynyk. If its a first and Zeller, I'd do it (especially if its the Dallas pick)(Boston has Brooklyn's pick, Dallas pick and their own pick and our conditional pick which will probably end up as two second rounders). I actually watched a lot of Zeller last year and I think he'd be a good big on our second unit.

Bazz for Devin Booker. One can dream right? It's too bad Goodwin can't shoot otherwise I'd offer Bazz for him as well.
