Wolves reportedly targeting Joakim Noah, which could spell the end for Kevin Garnett

Here is some news not related to the draft for everyone.

Sadly I was hoping we would have drafted Noah and paired him with KG the year we drafted Brewer. That would have been interesting to see them play together while KG was in his prime. It either would have worked or it would have been nuclear due to personalities.

I think those two never would have clashed like they have in the past had they been teammates from the beginning. If I recall correctly, Noah was a huge KG fan entering the league until KG told him to go fuck himself, or something of that nature. KG was just trying to psych out a young player. Noah's a fierce competitor. KG's a fierce competitor. You put those guys together when there's no history between them and they'll be a contagious duo. There's bad blood now, though, so I'm not sure what the dynamic would be like.

PS: I too was hoping we'd draft Noah that year. I knew the kind of impact he had on both ends of the floor because I had seen it at a high level in back to back years. Not to mention he and Horford had just embarrassed a tremendously gifted Greg Oden in the National Championship game.

I was a little conflicted on Noah but I thought he was going to translate more in the NBA than the guys that basically said he was just going to be an energy guy. I remember wanting Horford really bad. I also remember all the posts both before after and years later about what SF type was the best. Unfortunately we didn't get the right guy in Brewer and even when he sorta found himself it wasn't with the team. We could have done better and we could have done worse. All in all Thad would have been the best guy out of that group and he would have helped quite a bit but he probably wouldn't have altered the franchise too much without REALLY looking back which I'm not that interested in doing. Lol Noah would have been a home run. I hope the guy can get healthy and get back to being an effective player whether it's for the Wolves or someone else. I've been a fan for quite a while.

If anybody is qualified to replace KG's 7 minutes a game for 20 games a year it would be Noah. Who're they going to sign for the rest of the minutes and games?
