I've always like Noah. Wanted him when he was drafted by the Bulls. I could get on board with a team friendly deal for sure.

I wouldn't think so. Noah is 31 and Bender is 18 so Noah would be the present and Bender the future. Also, Noah is an interior player while Bender plays mostly on the perimeter. The other question is if this has any bearing on resigning Gorgui and I hope the answer is no (but I don't know).

Can't see Bender playing much his first year, maybe not even his second year either, so no I don't think signing Noah would affect how we draft. Keep in mind that we'd still be thin at the 4 spot.

Ultimately, it depends on his health. And even if he is healthy, his ability on the offensive end is now abysmal. Obviously we're not signing him to be a stud on that side of the ball, but it's still something to worry about.

Team friendly might still be $15M per year. I wouldn't get too optimistic about getting a Thibs discount.

Yeah

It's all part of the genius plan. Bring in Noah and KG files for retirement next day. Brilliant! Next we need to sign Pek's archenemy.

That's the kind of analysis I frequent this board for.

I will add that Jon K said at this point he doesn't think KG coming back to the Wolves this year is not the likely outcome it seemed a few weeks ago. KG has been dealing with the death of his mother in Law so that's a factor in him not meeting with Thibs etc. To me all things considered I think we are still a few weeks away from KG's decision really impacting what the Wolves do so Thibs and Layden may be ok with KG taking some time before they get together and chat or whatever. I don't what to derail this into a KG thread BUT IF KG didn't come back that would make it more ok to spend money on Noah AND hope he can stay healthy. Only time will tell about any of this stuff.

We definitely need big man depth and Noah would help. But I agree with others that it depends on the price. He's regressed with his shooting/scoring/efficiency for literally years now, so I don't see that turning around regardless of how healthy and "rejuvenated" he feels after last season. He can hardly make free throws anymore.
