Those of you not sold on Gordon, watch this video of him on Parker
http://youtu.be/nfVitXBMWY0
Many people on this board think Parker is a sure all star scorer in this league. If so, then Gordon is a sure elite shut down defender.
I want him on this team

How high up in the draft do you take him?

I'd say 6 or below. I'd take Vonleh and Smart ahead of him
My Board is
Embiid
Parker
Wiggins
Smart
Vonleh
Gordon
Randle
Exum
Saric
McDermot
Stauskas
Lavine
Harris

Meant my board for the Wolves. Don't think he fits here with Rubio. Same reason Exum is so low

Embiid suffers foot injury. Cleveland to work out Exum for a possiblity at No. 1.

Maybe this injury gives the Cavs the extra push to make a trade.

I don't like Gordon personally. I have seen comparisons to Marion, but I just don't see it. Marion was a freak athlete and defender, as is Gordon. This is where similarities end. Marion had a clear position to transition to coming out of college. He was a SF all the way. Gordon.....he is the anti-Derrick Williams in that Wiliams was a tweener that could score and not defend, Gordon is a tweener that can defend and not score. I think people don't realize that while not a good 3 pt shooter coming out of college, Marion was still an extremely efficient and farily prolific scorer. His NBA career went this way as well...great defender, athletic freak, and very efficient scorer.

Gordon's FT%, along with the fact that he literally has no semblance of an offensive repetoir to fall back on, is really going to struggle to find a way to see the court. Hard nosed D and zero offense sounds like Reggie Evans to me...not someone I pick in round 1, let alone top 10-15.

The FT% and no offensive game can't be argued, but reggie evans is a terrible comparison...

So you don't like the Marion comparison... but you see Reggie Evans instead? Are your eyes okay? I can't remember the last time Reggie Evans could guard a perimeter player. Probably never. What about grabbing a defensive board and going coast to coast? I'm 100% positive Gordon (and Marion) can do that. Reggie's never done that.

He's not my favorite prospect in the draft, but he's a clear lottery talent. Saying otherwise is laughable.

"How do I rate myself against them [Embiid, Vonleh, Gordon, etc.]? I feel like I'm the best one. I don't put myself second to anybody. That's my attitude on the floor; attitude when I compete. That's just how I was raised to be."

I know that's what you're supposed to say as a draft prospect, but with Randle it's really believable. Wherever he goes, he's going to lift that team on his back and take them to a higher level. Did it at Kentucky. Guy has that Kobe/Garnett/Barkley attitude and confidence.
