I'm just gonna leave that there.
We haven't agreed much lately, but I strongly agree with you here, Randle is my fourth best prospect in this draft and not much behind the other three. I think he is going to be a beast and if we trade love to Boston this is the guy that I target.
I think Randle would be an AWFUL fit next to Pek, but a good fit next to Dieng. Basically brings the same things Pek brings offensively and defensively. 1. Limited Range. 2 Plays under the rim. 3. Good rebounder and post up game. Again this is another reason why if we were to trade with BOS/SAC I'd want to deal Pek for youth/picks
I'd continue the bully ball approach we have and continue to work Dieng into form off the bench. I think Pek and Randle would be too much to handle, much like Pek and Love except not as good right away. Randle's more athletic than Love and I think he's going to be a much better defender than Love, which gives me hope. Keeping Pek and working Dieng in more this year would also hopefully mean they both stay injury-free throughout the season.
Randle/Olynyk
Pekovic/Dieng
That at the 4/5 spots looks really nice to me. Plenty of different pairings you can run too.

I like Randle, and would be happy if we picked him, but I'd rather have Vonleh or Smart. Only way we draft Randle is at 6 and one of these guys will be there too. I'd rather have Vonleh, who to me looks like Bosh with defense or Smart, who looks like DWade with a motor.

Smart's going to Orlando and I'm 90% sure about that. If he's available, I agree I'd probably take him. There's no way I'd take Vonleh over Randle, though. His nice combine measurables don't show up to me during basketball games. And as I've been saying, I don't think he's mentally strong enough to reach his absolute potential. He shys away in games, doesn't play like he's the best player on the floor a lot of the time. That will never be the case for Randle. His confidence is immense and has a killer mindset. Has that "you cannot guard me" approach like a lot of the greats. Plays physical as hell and is much more skilled than he gets credit for (improving jumper, ability to get to the FT line and make them, great touch around the rim, ball-handling ability on the break, etc.).
Randle's better than Vonleh for me and it's not that close. I see Vonleh as a starter, but Randle as an All-Star.
I think Randle will be good, but it is hard to see him fitting in hear at first. Then thinking in 3 years it will likely be Dieng and him at C/PF I can see it working. Smart thought is my guy.
