Back to the draft...
Re: Back to the draft...
I'm more and more leaning towards the idea of trading the 13th and 40th to CHI for their 16th and 19th pick. I'd take LeVine and Payne if they are both on the board. It looks like Payne turned some heads at his work out in Minny. Athletic stretch 4. I like LeVine's potential.

I think the idea of what is available at the Chicago picks will be what tips the scale for Flip in his pursuit of a Love trade. He can stock the bench with cheap young talent and put defensive vets in the lineup. He can load up the bench with 3 first rounders, plug Gibson, Butler, Dunleavy in for some defense and leadership and go for depth, depth, depth.

Levine couldn't start on his team and Payne got destroyed by a 4 year younger Randle. Both look like backups to me.

Actually, LaVine couldn't start for his college team last year! That said, there seems to be a lot of talent in the late teens, so I'm intrigued by the prospect of dealing down too.

I could see trading down if lets day Aaron Gordon fell to us. I would hope some team would want to trade up for him. If our guy is there at 13 you take him.

If by some chance Gordon is there at 13, the Wolves should take him and be thankful of the steal we just got. I don't like taking Gordon top-eight, but at 13 it's a steal. I wouldn't trade that away. Remember I compared his ceiling to AK or Marion. That's great value at 13.

Wolfson: "UCLA's Zach LaVine will be making it town to workout for #Twolves. They like him as a two-guard. He's in mix at 13 w/ Payne, Stauskas, etc."

CAM - NOOOO!
My ideal draft is. Trade Love to Boston. Smart at #6 and Randle drops to #13 because of foot injury concerns. Instantly we just got a whole lot tougher.

I don't disagree with you on this. Smart and Randle would be the best possible outcome of a Boston trade. Only thing better would be somehow getting Jabari.
Here's the thing: I'm fairly certain Smart is going to Orlando at 4. I can't see Randle falling to 13 even with him needing a foot procedure (minor). Randle seems locked in for top-10.
Realistically, if we did send Love to Boston (I don't think that's where he ends up), I'd expect Flip to go with Vonleh at 6 and then Harris at 13.

I wonder if 76ers would do #6 and #13 for #3? I wonder if they would dump Young in the trade.
I think Smart will the best 2 way player in the draft.
