My trade is still alive.

Post by kekgeek »

I called it about 5 months ago that we were going to trade the #1 overall pick, Bennett and Gorgui for Cousins. Time to pull a Cool and be amazing

I'd rather roll the dice with Towns/Okafor and the full nine years or so of team control, especially four years at a pretty cheap number for a difference maker.

I think Cousins is a phenomenal talent and I pleaded that we take him years ago with our draft pick, but I can't vouch that we acquire him with our No. 1 pick. No can do.

Take the young big, whichever that may be, and let this young nucleus grow together with their own sense of expectations.

What kind of trade can we put together that doesn't include the #1 Towns/Okafor and Wiggins? I too would love to get Cousins. But I know that is a pipedream.

No need to rush the rebuild, one more year of biding our time before we can make a legitimate run at the playoffs

H*LL NO. I wanted Cousins when we took Wes, but I wouldn't give up KAT for him. We can have the KATman on a rookie contract and build chemistry. Younger, cheaper, more athletic and more coachable. Cousins, though talented, is a prima donna who hasn't sniffed the playoffs. NO THANKS.

Not saying you are wrong, but there are rumors KAT is going to force his way to the Lakers so are you sure he is not a prima donna. Also I remember about a month ago reading there is a good chance that Mike Malone is going to be on the coaching staff this year the one person who has gotten through to Cousins. Also I think Cousins has a different personality type but I think he just wants to win so badly.

Hell no!

I concur. How exactly would KAT "force" his way to the Lakers?

Did you read those rumors on a Lakers board?

Woj tweeted (a douche but he is informed) something about it , that the Towns camp might not be agreeable with the Wolves during this draft process. Once again he can't fully force his way but he can make it difficult on the wolves to evaluate him in the pre draft process and where there is two comparable talents in Towns and Okafor. The one less trouble some will more than likely be our pick
