This is the best wolves podcast I've heard to date. Don't know Britt's sidekick but he asks some very good questions for Britt which gets in depth analysis. Britt's writing drives me crazy sometimes and his constant criticism of Lavine is way over the top but he gives us some insight into his bias towards him. It's over an hour but well worth it. Just a heads up, don't let your children listen!! Haha

Re: Robson podcast
Thanks for posting, good stuff. They really went deep on some of the individual players. For those that don't want to listen all of it, here are a few quick bullets to summarize:
- Robson is admittedly biased against LaVine, as Duke mentions above. He feels he's improved on offense by taking open shots without always having to dribble into the defense....more simple catch-and-shoot 3's. He thinks he's still a terrible defender that doesn't anticipate well.
- He sees the same thing the rest of us do in watching Wiggins: He doesn't always give full effort. He thinks that Wiggins calculates in his mind whether it's worth it on any given play to make the extra effort, and if he doesn't think it will make a difference (e.g. diving for a loose ball when he knows there is an 80% chance he won't get it), he won't give the extra effort. The problem with that is sometimes he miscalculates. And even if he does calculate right, he's still giving up on 20-30% plays. Well, if you always give up on those, there are 20-30% that you could have gotten! He believes Wiggins engagement level will go up as the team gets better and they play more games that matter.
- He went on a long riff on why he thinks KAT won't be the best Timberwolf ever (he thinks it will remain KG of course). To make a long story short, he thinks KG's defense at his peak is better than KAT's offense at his peak eventually. He considers KG the best pick-and-roll defender ever. That being said, he think KAT will be a top 5 NBA player for a decade. So he definitely loves KAT too.
- Britt is generally a Sam Mitchell fan and feels he gets more grief than he deserves. However, he also admits that he can be abrasive and difficult for some players to work with. He's more worried about Mitchell as coach when the team starts getting better, expectations go up, and then they suddenly hit a rough spot. Does Mitchell throw everyone under the bus or does he know how to push the right buttons with the right players? Britt feels that Mitchell has more of an EQ issue vs. basketball IQ issue. He's holding out his final verdict on Mitchell until the season is over.
Those are the highlights from my perspective.

Thanks for posting Duke! And thanks for the writeup Q
Re: Robson podcast
Thanks for posting this I had forgotten about this podcast. Britt is an interesting guy he can be so cranky about some things but he has a lot of good insight I think.
Re: Robson podcast
Britt seems to be a mix of everyone's opinion on this board. He is low on Zach (minority opinion here), high on Towns (everyone seems to agree with this), questioning Wiggins' effort (majority opinion here), thinks Rubio is good (majority opinion here), doesn't hate Mitchell (minority opinion). It's like you mixed all the opinions here and made a perfect compromise. No wonder he is so well liked.

Yeah, although all of his takes are balanced. Even on LaVine, he begrudgingly admits that he's been playing better lately and other people he respects (like J-Pete) really like Zach. On Mitchell, I think he's just reacting to the overwhelming amount of criticism he's received. He has his concerns too, but also believes Mitchell has done some good things.
