Time to rebound?

Those are the rebounding deficits for the Wolves over the past 4 games. All season, rebounding was supposed to be a liability for this squad. Obviously, these are young guys who need to add strength. But is the current foundation (Rubio/LaVine/Wiggins/Towns/Dieng) going to battle this for the foreseeable future just because of the makeup of the guys?
The wings, Wiggins and LaVine, are averaging 3.5 and 2.3 rpg over the past 8 games. Trend... or mirage? If it is a trend, what does this team need moving forward considering all of us have heard about the importance of rebounding since we started watching hoops?

Re: Time to rebound?
Wolves need to have a good rebounding specialist on the bench who can come in and improve the situation if we get killed on the boards. I'd draft Sabonis for that role (of course in a trade down).

Thomas Robinson looks like a great rebounder off bench, one of the best in the league. I think he's obtainable from the nets. Bazz for T-Rob?
Noah is a top rebounder also. He's FA but he's an injury concern plus how much will he cost? Will he be worth the investment? He's much older than the core.

I'm guessing there are some very legit reasons why Thomas Robinson (a top 5 pick) is on his 5th team in only 4 years and had to take a huge paycut (2 years for $2M) for the opportunity to play 11 mpg for a 60-loss team.
I'm definitely not a Muhammad fan, but I don't know if swapping him for Robinson would move the needle much either.

Last time we played Nets he worked us on the glass. Bazz is not a core piece for me. It's one trick pony for another one trick pony type of trade. It's just a matter of what kind of trick you want your pony to do.

Re: Time to rebound?
This is one of the reasons Mitchell double-clutched with the LaVine/Wiggins starting wing combo at the beginning of the season. He saw how out-muscled they got by other starting wings, especially SFs, who consistenly out-rebound Wiggins. And while Gorgui and KAT aren't necessarily poor rebounders, they aren't good enough to make up for the shortfall elsewhere. And it's becoming apparent that both are starting to wear down a bit this season, as opposing bigs are consistenly killing us on the glass of late.
I still question Dieng in the starting 5. It feels like we need a ground-bound powerhouse that can move people in the paint and seal off opposing bigs. Then bring Dieng in as the first big man off the bench. The other thing is Wiggins and LaVine have got to continue getting bigger and stronger.

I think you nail the perfect NBA role for G. Dieng. He's a legit pro.
But I think he's always going to be that one guy who's role is in jeopardy if he's a starter for a team. He's not quite that good. But off the bench? That's a nice luxury.
Obviously, the Wolves aren't there yet. But someday... someday...

The slagging of Dieng is getting old. Why can't the "ground-bound powerhouse" be a 3rd big off the bench when a game calls for that type of player?

But back to Wolves rebounding. Is there a source to look up starters/bench rebounding numbers? Just to see whether our putrid bench contributes to rebounding issues.

I think because we hope to have an upgrade from Dieng. He is the weak link in the starting lineup. Moving him to the bench would be a good thing for this team.
