Regardless if we win or not, we are clearly being outworked by these guys.

Re: Wolves vs. Memphis Second String GDT
We gave up 13 offensive rebounds....in the half! In fact, they rebounded more of their misses than we did! We had 12 defensive rebounds. This game wouldn't even be close if not for the 2nd chance points.
Dieng and KAT have a lot going for them as a big man pairing. But they get pushed around and out-muscled too damn easily. And by Ryan freakin' Hollins of all people! Remember him? Of course, when he wore a Wolves jersey, it was him that was getting pushed around and knocked off balance all of the time.

It's fun watching our individual talent score buckets, but man our defensive schemes and rebounding schemes are frustrating to watch. Someone who can coach up defense could make a huge difference for this team. Add in an offseason of development and this team could be pretty good next year.
Sam Mitchell cannot return.

Even in a game where Memphis is picking players out of the stands like Eddie and Minnesota should have a huge advantage, I still feel like Joerger is playing chess and Sam is eating the game pieces.

Yup. Mitchell getting good and out-coached right now...

Oh that's an idea. Go to your best player. Good job KAT!

Wiggins and dieng are clearly hobbled and we lack size so Sam leaves prince on the bench.

Watching the grizzlies huddle and seeing Joerger immediately address his players and calmly draw up a play upsets me.

Well, he is a Minnesota guy and therefore would be comfortable to Glen. I'd love to see Memphis fire him, but that would be impossible to do given how he's managed to keep that team afloat amidst all the injuries. Incredible coaching job.

I don't know....Our initial defense was fine, in that we forced a ton of misses. But they just killed us on the offensive glass. That's not because they had a superior scheme. That's called getting out-muscled and out-worked.
