Just another example of why Sam should not be brought back as our head coach. It's not a close question.

Sam for staying with the small lineup and just giving them offensive putback after offensive putback because he refused to put Dieng back in the game for whatever reason. That's a bad loss.

Hard to argue with you.

I'm glad we beat OKC rather than Phoenix. Its much more satisfying to beat the good teams and frankly I don't mind losing to sucky teams as Sammitch must go and we could sure use a top 5 pick.

No interest from me on Teletovic. Not good enough offensively to make up for his trash defense.

I probably agree with you, but since he torched us tonight I wanted to get other's thoughts on him. Evan Fournier torched us too, but he's a younger and more complete player who I wouldn't mind having (though he's restricted and I expect Orlando to not let him go easily).

Here's Glen Taylor's out:

I'm guessing he doesn't want to have to fire Sam. So what he does is he announces that Newton is going to remain in his GM role that he had under Flip. Then he hires a POBO from outside the organization and gives the new hire the authority to bring in his own coach. The new POBO fires Sam, and Glen doesn't have to do the dirty work and keeps the fan base.

Glenn shouldn't be picking the next coach at any point. That's the responsibility of the POBO. Whether that's Milt or another person it should be their decision, not Glenn's because they are the one who has to work with the coach and make sure everyone's on the same page.

So we agree?

Wonder how Gorgui feels after being off the floor most of crunch time after just being huge against OKC a game ago. Phoenix killed us on the offensive glass inside 8:00 to go. Put-backs galore. And as khans already noted, Bazz really hurt the team in the 4th. Just another game where Sam's inability to manage personnel correctly results in a loss. Get him out of here.

All this really makes you wonder how good this team could be right now if the commitment would have been there since day 1 to the youth. Zach has been flat out good for most of his time since being the starting 2. Dieng has played really well at the 4 and become a not terrible option to start next to Towns if we can't bring in a starting caliber big this summer. Tyus should have been backing Ricky up since day 1 and who knows where he'd be by now. He's getting better by the week managing games and hitting shots. We wasted so much time on Martin, Prince and the Zach Lavine PG experiment.
