Yeah, that is nice that they've been able to keep winning, but I don't think it continues. Those six wins are against bottom feeders. We're talking about the Nets, Wolves, Lakers, Lakers, Nuggets and Kings. And they also dropped a stinker to the Suns.

Amen!
Agree.....sort of. You can't have all young guys. You need a couple of solid, established vets. And I'm not talking about senior citizens like we had this year with KG, Miller and Prince. I'm talking about guys who are in their late 20's who still can play and/or are not going to need minutes restrictions. I think a couple of glue guys would make a tremendous difference next year and help the young guys continue to improve. At minimum, find me a defensive Big and a pure shooter to space the floor.

That's how you end up like the Sixers and guess how many top end free agents want to go there? We have the 3 building blocks and 2 guys in the right age to put around our big 3. We need to add 4 more of those guys if we want to start winning and actually start having success instead of just perpetually rebuilding and expecting the next first round pick to be the guy. The Thunder had 3 drafts and then they started trying to win. This will be our 3rd draft in the rebuild so it's time to start bringing in people who know how to play basketball and stop taking flyers on guys hoping we can have 5 all-stars in the starting lineup.
If the Wolves can pull in Antoine FA I guess I won't be upset but I also have my doubts but I suppose you never know. They can't just do nothing in FA either. They need to add a couple young vet players or even a guy with legit experience and ability that are in their primes like late 20's. They can't just buy up a bunch of 2nd rounders etc put them on the team and have Rubio as the clear seasoned vet (I don't think counting Pek is too worthwhile at this point sadly).

Those bottom feeders seem to have our number this year. Playoff teams do their job and beat the bottom feeders. If Memphis stays in the playoffs it only further solidifys Conley as one of the most underrated players in the league.

Lot of veterans over there in Memphis and a pretty good coach. Conley's been the main cog over the last eight, no doubt, but it'll be impressive if they keep this up against teams closer to the .500 mark. Veteran teams are supposed to beat young/losing teams.

Who did the Thunder bring in that third year? I'm ok with signing mid level role players, I think committing huge long term contracts to guys nearing their 30s is a mistake. We want the team to be peaking at the right time and you want some cap space down the road to get that free agent to put you over the top at the time or to resign the guys you developed. Trying to get the 8th seed in 2017 is short sighted in my mind. If we get the 8th seed let's hope it's because our guys progressed and not because we went out there and spent like mad to get it.

This is what I'm talking about. The thought that we can line everything up perfectly for a 10 year run with a whole team of guys. It doesn't work like that. Contracts end in 4 years for anyone not already a T Wolf. Wiggins and Zach will be 25 and Towns 24 when any supposed huge albatrosses would be up. That's when they are going to be peaking anyway. We need guys who can hold them up now while they are young and developing, not bringing in role players around them and keep expecting them to carry us to victory for the next decade. The Warriors brought in Lee, Iggy and Bogut before Steph and Klay and Draymond became the great players who could carry the team. We need our David Lee this summer to help us start making the playoffs as soon as next year hopefully and then in 3-4 years they will be ready to carry the team there themselves and that deal for that guy who helped them out now will be up and then we can bring in the role players around them. We need our Iggy, Bogut and Lee for the next 3-4 years until Towns, Wiggins and Lavine are ready to carry the ship themselves. Otherwise we're going to keep sucking for 2-3 more years if we're expecting them to carry the team to victory this young in their careers.
