Greg Oden to the Heat

I can't help but think that this signing will end up like the Twolves signing of Brandon Roy.

Perhaps so but I think its a much better signing for the Heat. They get Oden for minimum while Roy got 5 Mill. Oden's four years younger. Oden's injuries are less severe. I never thought Roy had any chance with two bumb knees. Oden's going to a better team. I really hate that the Heat got him as I fear if he resurrects his career there that the Heat can print championships as long as they also have Lebron and Wade.

For the Heat its a no-brainer. If he never plays a minute for them how cares its not like he is taking up a roster spot or costing them some significant amount of money. Year so with the Lux tax he costs 2.6 million? Oh well the risk is worth it and they might have signed any guy with that cost so yeah.

If Oden can somehow play 15-20 minutes in the NBA again he will be worth it. I hate to say it, but based on what he said that he didn't think he woudl ever play again at one point and the fact is that he is a 7 C I put the chances of him having much more success than Roy at about 10 percent or less. Its too bad, but yeah he is 25 Roy was what 28 when he tried to come back last year? He wasn't that old and at least you had the hope of the Kobe knee miracle because science hope that Roy could have some magic happen. What is the hope for Oden? He recovered from all his surgeries and no going to be all better? Maybe he went back and took the advice of that guy that did consulting work with the Blazers took all his recommendations and got a shoe lift. Realistically the guy has played 82 total games over 2 seasons and he hasn't played a minute i the NBA in 3 years. I am pulling for the guy but I think this will end like Roy and I think there is a really good chance he never even plays a minute again.

If Miami gets something out of Oden its basically the only real addition they have made this year and they lost Miller which idk if its really too big of a deal, but he was a guy that made some significant contributions over the last couple years in big games. Other teams have made additions either from guys being healthy or added players or both. The Heat are going to have a tougher road to the Finals this year and last year was tougher than many including me expected. Its going to be an interesting year with so many teams having a legit chance at getting there.

The Bulls are winning the East. I'm not worried about a Heat 3peat

He will give them 20-24 awesome minutes a game due to the luck the Heat have. Great. -_-'
